I don't seem to be able to spend those Kris points any faster than they are accumulating. It is a first world problem but I am booking some Suites flights today to get the points turning over faster. I wish we could have more redemption nominees.
I am booking some flights this afternoon so that should dent the stash.

Can I be a redemption nominee if you ever are allowed more? *adorable eyes*

With school holidays ending my SIL and niece will test this product this morning. I suggested the Krug for the long haul for SIL.

Normally Krug for me. But pleasantly surprised by DP 2004 at a recent tasting, look forward to how it translates into a thirst quencher at 34k ft.

No I have never booed it and then called - I have checked availability of exactly which flts I want then call them - explain what you want and point out cannot be booked online so you still want the 15% discount - twice I have done it and twice succesful - both times I must add with my contact Crystal in KF call centre.

About to try calling now for a OW with a stop-over in SIN

Thanks to the all contributors to this thread especially Cove, I have my first suites saver booked from Zurich to Singapore(in January) while the wife and kids are slumming it in J. Ah well, we will all be together for the flight back to Perth from Singapore. What is the best suite to pick according to general consensus?

Go 3A or 3F first time.
Be careful what you tell your partner seeing she is slumming it in J.
With our sons both grown up we have been flying together.

I'm waiting till I get 275K points and then booking myself a SQ Suites MEL-SIN-fra-nrt-JFK-nrt-FRA-sin-MEL trip (or some combination with those 3 stopovers) :D

I don't believe you will be able to add NRT in there as the flights will go MEL-SIN-FRA-JFK-FRA-SIN-MEL.

Last time I looked they went through NRT. Not planning on stopping over there so not fussed either way :)

I was 200 points short, but with a topup (40 USD) I have now booked my SQ Suite Saver Awards:

SQ1 HKG - SIN (New 777 with 2-2-2 configuration)
SQ221 SIN - SYD (Suite 3A thanks to this forum. I'm right handed, but somebody already had secured 3F)

I'm flying back after completing a 800km (500 miles) walk across the North of Spain - so I will appreciate the extra luxury.

Only 228 sleeps to go.

i am also interested in the answer to this question. can anyone who was purchased a suite saver confirm if there is any suite saver awards on the same flight available a few days after original booking?

Today I booked Saver Awards Suites HKG - SIN - SYD. At seat allocation I was the only allocated seat HKG - SIN and the second allocated seat on SIN-SYD.

Now I notice that on both flights both Saver and Standard are recorded as Waitlist. But maybe somebody else has booked seats as well (unlikely and the seat allocation map hasn't changed).

Completed my fourth Suites segment today - a very enjoyable SYD-SIN, where once again I had the entire left half of the cabin to myself (and centre screens raised to really make it feel like it was all mine).

SQ's marketing doesn't exaggerate when they call Suites "a class above First". While most of my absolute "bests" (best meal ever, best service ever, best lounge, etc) have been on other airlines, those airlines have all let me down (relatively speaking!) at various times and in various ways too.

SQ have the formula just right - every aspect of travelling in Suites is great, and importantly, it's consistently great.

Hallelujah brother - I think you preaching to converted in this thread.

Cruiserette and I have 2 x Suite Savers MEL-LHR June 14 - she threw up a night in Raffles in SIN on way across - means needs to rebook tonto 77W day earlier that arrives into SIN at about 3pm to get full 24hr value - means need to forgo Suites on MEL-SIN leg - d'oh!

I had not realized the level of cruelty that a partner could inflict on you Cruiser Elite.

This is reason that SQ is top of my list.
I can always count on consistency in F, and to a slightly lesser degree, in J.
Other airlines have great premium products too, but consistency is sometimes lacking.

For anyone who might recall back to Dec last year (post 113),
I had to cancel my SYD-SFO Suites Epic. So no TR, hummel. :(

It gets worse cove:

Cruiser takes Cruiserette on his pts MEL-SIN-LHR in Suites
Cruiserette bring Cruiser home on her pts ZRH-SIN-MEL in J on 380 - "Listen boofhead - I am not wasting my pts on F when J is more than acceptable for me!"

Cruiser takes Cruserette on his pts MEL-LAX on QF F
Cruiserette bring Cruiser home on her pts LAX-MEL on VA J - "Hey look - 15% bonus transfer and 15% discount on redemption - wow that's a bargain for me!"

Cruel isn't it?
