Suites savers now available

If you are talking about QF on the 333 J from Asia to Aus I would suggest avoiding if possible. Far inferior to the SQ J 388 product and, from what I hear, the 333 CX product too.

Actually I am waiting for QF to upgrade their fleet with latest J before going for it, and or at least try the QF A380 J.

Actually I prefer CX Cirrus J 333 than SQ J 388 as it is more secluded and also you don't have to get out of seat to convert the seat to bed which is required for SQ J.

Double suite from Aus to Europe is definitely possible, I booked 2x suite from Sydney to CDG in mid-December 2013 and 2x suite from CDG to Sydney in mid-Jan 2014, this was done about a month ago.

I have scanned a few cities for a future trip - ZRH, CDG and LHR for 2 X Suite Savers and availability seems really good on all 3 even 3-4 months out with inventory available nearly daily. FRA is a hit/miss. The only issue is schedules on the way back from ZRH and CDG which have less A380 frequencies and this results in a very long layover if you insist on having Suites the whole way through - CDG-SIN-MEL or CDG-SIN-SYD for instance connects from an A380 to a 777 if you just want a straightforward connection, otherwise the next A380s down to either city don't seem to depart until late evening.

Agree re: SQ J 388 but still prefer it over QFs current angled flat on 333.
Haven't tried CX yet but its on the list.
I too am waiting patiently for the new 333 QF seats late next year, they look good.

Thanks for this Keith009. I'm looking at a similar option for travel in May. Doesn't look as exciting. Maybe it will open up closer to the time. Thanks for the data points.

I don't think suites open up later like J does, as the consensus seems to be 2x seats is max released and if they're not available it means already booked. Until someone cancels or waitlist.

SQ have been treating me kindly in the last week or so with these comparatively late redemption bookings;

2 x Suite Saver SIN-NRT and return mid January
1 x Suite Saver SIN-FRA and return early February

Travel plans might always change closer to the date, but always good to have SQ Suites to fall back on - they're cheap to cancel!

Asked at the transit desk if I could go later on the Suites flights (2 hours later- no prblems with the connect time in SIN, just less time in PDR).
Same deal here. Currently writing to you aboard my first Suites experience on SQ222. Was firm in F on SQ306 (SIN-LHR 777) but asked at check-in if I could be moved to the earlier flight, SQ322 (380). So now it's suites all the way to LHR!

They were kind enough to check me through to PRG, even though that sector is with BA. Nice work SQ!

Trying to book the new 777-300ER LHR-SIN, but can't when going through to MEL, on LHR-SIN-MEL

Only appears when looking at LHR-SIN-MEL

Damn website....

Interesting that you can "fly ahead" that's great too

I apologise. I am 46 years old and have given up chasing my hair as it races towards my back. I run a longstanding and successful company and I sit on 3 boards. You could say I'm conservative and , well, mature. I'm sorry, but I am excited like a little kid at the prospect of my first Suites experience on Monday, which I deem to be abnormal. I've only flown F once before (not counting the dodgy US domestic offering), so my expectations are high.
Yippee! And special thanks to the folks on here who not only made me aware of Suite Savers, but also the various interesting means of accumulating the points to get on them.
Trip report from a wide-eyed newbie's perspective as soon as I get the smile off my face.
Cheers,
Peter

pgsdiver take photos for us as I am not a photo poster. Instead I am the one with the Krug in the left hand if I am sitting in the window seat on the A side.
I am excited for you to be breaking out of conservative and mature. By the way we don't drive at the final destination nor do we work on arrival seeing you need to try the Dom Perignon and a lovely French red.
Go the driver is my advice.

I feel your excitement Peter. I will be joining the Suites club soon but alas I have to wait til April 2014 to do mine....such are the restrictions in life that as I normally travel as a threesome SQ J is normally as high as I can redeem. Look forward to the Suites virgin TR!!!
Cheers Danger UXB

I'm waiting till I get 275K points and then booking myself a SQ Suites MEL-SIN-fra-nrt-JFK-nrt-FRA-sin-MEL trip (or some combination with those 3 stopovers) :D

On board SQ232 in 3D. It's LHD for me today as it looked to be the best opportunity for some extra space. I'm impressed by the fact that the gate attendant knew me by name as I walked up. My only explanation is she must have been on an adjacent check in counter and overheard my name. Kudos to them for getting it right! I'm now firmly and warmly ensconced with the Singapore girls and an already being made to feel like this trip is worth every cent the ATO has spent on it ;:D

OK, cove, I posted my Suites trip report. My first ever. It's in the appropriate section. let me know what you think - photos are coming once I have time to compress them. you might think my review is negative, but I wanted to make it as balanced as I could - overwhelmingly I loved it and you and others have my thanks for putting me on to it!

I'm hoping to secure my first ever suites trip for my wife and I for next year. Planning on a trip to Tokyo, currently showing saver availability for 1 suites, but when try for 2 it's waitlisted. Has anybody had experience with an additional suite saver award opening up on SQ12? I could waitlist us for the A380 and confirm on F in the 777 as a back-up (never flown first class before), but have read that the difference between F and J on the 777 isn't a huge one. But I guess F is F, as they say!

Bless me father for I have sinned - well - commercial reality raised its ugly head anyway.

Was sitting in 200K USDM so booked MEL-BKK-ZRH / FRA-BKK-MEL TG J and F next Aug / Sep for USDM 150K and $260 or so - cancelled 2 x confirmed Suite Savers MEL-SIN-ZRH / FRA-SIN-MEL which cost KF Pts 225,250 and $978.22 approx.

Hated doing it but sometimes head has to overrule heart.

But here is the biggie coming - have 102K Eastern Miles with MU and yesterday requested o/w J Reward MEL-PVG mid Apr 2014 90K EM $? - if comes through will cancel confirmed Suite Saver MEL-SIN / on SIN / SIN-PVG which cost 78,625 and $459.92 - can you believe this? I hardly can - but I gotta burn those EM's and the KF pts will live to fight another day.

Think about that - cancel SQ Suite Saver for MU J class - you guys think I should be certified or what?

It seems finding availability to FRA on the way over is extremely difficult (have yet to find any on the A380 Suites). There used to be a lot of availability to JFK on the way over to but it seems that to has dried up. Wonder why they release so little FRA space as opposed to CDG and LHR which there is always availability.
