Suites savers now available

The A380 Suite is quite a private room.
It takes about 10 minutes extra to book the Suites flights as singles but it seemed to be the only way to get mother and daughter onto the same flight on that day. You could get nervous thinking the other seat might get taken so I did the Saver Suite first for mother and then I did the Standard points Suite for my niece and it all worked fine.
I tried to delete a redemption nominee from one of our 2 accounts but the web site failed to accept the payment and it failed on multiple attempts.

I could not get Saver on the Perth -Singapore and return as those flights are snapped up for school holiday flights and of course Perth has only a 777 service on that route with business class seeing Perth airport is still not A380 ready until mid 2013.

Have worked out for me (at least how to get the two suites on same flight with chance of 2 at Saver rates)

SYD/SIN has 2 A388 flights 232 at 11.15am and 222 at 3.15pm.

Booked myself on 11.15 flight in a suite at Saver rates and waitlist at Saver rates for 222 flight at 3.15pm

Booked +1 at Saver rates on 222 flight at 3.15pm

Booked myself also at Standard rates on 222 at 3.15pm (you have to have enough points to send to Krisflyer to have the choice here)

Now what I will do is take the 222 flight at Saver rates if my waitlist comes through (hopefully within 24 hours of flying) and cancel the 11.15am 232 flight)

Outcome is 2 Saver Suites and an extra 5000 point penalty ( I get my taxes back) on 222 at 3.15pm

2nd outcome is waitlist doesnt arrive and I can either have an extra 4 hours in TPR wiating for the +1 to get to SIN or

I keep the 2nd booking at Standard rates and we both fly on 222 at 3.15pm one at Staver and one at Standard rates and I cancel the 232 at 11.15 am and get my point/taxes back less 5000 point penalty

Given the above if waitlist clears for an extra 5000 in points I get the two Saver Suites

If not, I have a choice of same flights at an extra 64k in points + 5000 cancelation fee, ( will decide if thats worth it), or I go at 11.15am and get pampered in TPR and end up having two Saver fares (on separate flights) and an extra 5000 points for trying the stratgey

And I did all the above without a drop of alcohol in sight!! (been on the wagon for a couple of weeks:cool:)

Running 4 hours apart for us is not a problem as sometimes we might not even fly on the same day as I usually have days of work to complete. With a 14 year old arriving in London I needed certainty and Mrscove would not have liked me getting them on different flights on account of a number of frequent flyer points.
They enjoyed London and Suites class in October and there is so much to see. I think it is a lovely Christmas present.

I do not know how they work, or how intelligent their systems are. If they know you are already booked on the standard award, would it lessen the chance of them clearing your waitlist? Kind of like -- why give you a discount when they know you are already buying?

Possibly true about the discount and higher points values booking as Standard, but sectors are on different booking numbers so will see how things unfold

Key is we all get where we need to go on the desired travel date and I have enough points to try the scenario

We are a family if 3 , me and wife and our daughter. Does this mean we can never travel on the same flight using F savers ? Maybe 3 X J savers is pretty much impossible too?

Might be a newbie question guys, though is there a difference between the A380 and B777-300 Suites, or are they decked out the same? I've only done A380 flight before...

Are SQ upgrading the 777-300 to have Suites? Otherwise I believe that would just be the First class seat.

Given the current release is one at a time, 3 would be unlikely, and would most likely require a "glitch"...

While more than 1 may be released later.....others may also be seeking it. Waitlists are biased to those with status.

The good thing about getting at least 1 firm booking for a suite is you can go to Change your seat and see how many empty suites there are

That way you can make an educated guess where they might release an extra suite for you or not?

Particulalry if you have no staus with SG

3x J savers is definitely possible. 3 Jan 13 for me ,Mrs Danger and Mini Danger .LHR to MEL

Nice. Did you book all at once or spreading it out? Also do you have status with sq?

No definitely no status , I have not paid for a plane ticket in 10 years . All booked at the same time in about may this year for jan flight. Dec 20 th booked at the same time but only 2 savers available so paid for 1 standard . Trip is MEL to LHR and back

As of 13:20 on Dec 4 I declare that I am officially a SIMPLETON.

Have been feeling all warm and fuzzy inside since I secured 4 x Suites Savers for Mar / Apr / May 2013 - but I forgot about F Saver I have booked PVG-SIN-MEL on Dec 18.

The penny drops - so on the dog and bone to KF - change SQ237 F Saver to SQ227 Suite Saver - jeez I just gotta get off the sauce - how could I have missed that?

Suites Savers to the US anyone?
Now wide open.
What better way than on the Krug slipstream.
Anyone care to join the partay?

If only it got released earlier..anyway..Does anyone know how much it is to upgrade from Award J saver to suite from JFK to MEL. Will also need to upgrade Mrs mistado so J saver to suite standard i guess would be needed as well. Hmmm...

Did a Saver and a Standard tonight for Suites to London and return for a 14 year old and her mother in the Sept/Oct school holidays.
