Good product better than J on QF but I pref I prefer A380 over 777 anyday

Appears the big bird will be returning to MEL-SIN route - don't know dates when will return but clearly showing for mid Sep 2015 - yee ha!

good news for you cruiser! i've got to look for alternative options for earning SQ points given altitude black is about to turn off in a couple of months. 2/3 of the way to 2 R LHR rtns.

Good news for all MEL based AFFers - just a shame its on the sleeping flt

Interesting that it will operate as SQ 217/218. They have finally worked out that it was uneconomical parking it in MEL all day. I probably will never use it as the overnight flight (as I do like my sleep and the catering at this time is minimal) but SQ217 is always my preferred return flight to Melbourne.

Amazing how we are all different - I always take 218 as it gets me to PVG or PEK early aft which is perfect IMHO.

Gonna be such a shame to be sleeping in Suites but it is what it will be.

Looks like it starts on the 11th Sep from searching SQ site, but haven't seen any announcements yet..

Great spot! This is very good news. I'm booked J in Dec/Jan on 218/217 but still have 77W showing online.

I'd have thought they swap out to 380 for peak period but seems not...

After reading this thread with much envy over the past few months I finally have a confirmed Suites booking SIN-SYD for 2.

Can't wait for September next year to try Krug in that double bed. Thanks to all who've contributed to this thread for whetting my appetite!

Excellent news Danger - the re-intro of 380 on MEL route reported a bit earlier in thread - but 2nd SYD service very welcome addition.

Congrats, that's going to be a very long wait.

Oct 27 last scheduled 380 service ex MEL until Sep 11, 2015 - with an ounce of luck I might get to ride the big bird on it's farewell flight - I need to be in China that week - BUT - just awaiting a container to check some sample new product before departing - will be line ball to see if container arrives warehouse in time.

I am forever the optimist - so:

And the cost:

And now to select my favourite seat 3C - D'Oh somebody beat me to it - OK onto KF call ctr to get 2C instead:

But the SIN-PEK leg is no drama:

Collective prayer please fellow AFFers that said container arrives into warehouse on 24th?

C'mon dudes - lets all chip in and see if we can get SQ on to the top of the podium:

Each year some 194,000 bottles of champagne are consumed on Singapore Airlines flights, and SQ is ranked as the world's second largest buyer of Dom Pérignon champagne.
But I have not noticed this on wine list:
Singapore Airlines is also the only airline that serves the rare and highly coveted Grand Cru Red Burgundy
