EK the number 1 for DP purchase? I would think they go through more bottles than SQ.

Ret 380 to MEL and 2nd daily flt SYD not quite as appealing as may have appeared - from Ausbt:

UPDATE | Singapore Airlines is boosting its Airbus A380 flights to Sydney and reintroducing the superjumbo to Melbourne, but only for a few short weeks in 2015.

Sydney's daily SQ231/222 flights from June 18 through to July 12 2015 ditch the Boeing 777-300ER in favour of the A380 over the Australian school holiday period, although the Boeing bird returns from July 13.

Melbourne residents, which are losing SQ's A380 from October 26, will again be able to fly on the world's largest passenger plane out of their home port next year – but only in September and October.

The A380 reappears on services to the Victorian capital from September 10 2015 until September 16 on SQ217/218, and again from September 24 until October 11 2015.

A Singapore Airlines spokesperson told
Australian Business Traveller that the schedule shake-up was the result of "seasonal demand patterns during the busy Northern Summer travel period", and confirmed that Melbourne would retain the Boeing 777-300ER on flights outside of these dates.

OK Suite-ees - lots of queries re pair of Suites for couples - 3C/D obvious choice because you can select them online whereas 2C/D are bassinet seats and are blanked from online selection. But if you are a couple and wanting adjoining seats when 3C/D already occupied or just OCD as I am and must have a C seat in SQ R/F or J - you can call KF call ctr and request 2C/D pair or individually as I did today.

Note: At this point in time 2D still vacant so if it stays that way I will utilise both Suites and end up with my very own personal Suite-Condo for next Monday's 380 swan song ex MEL.

Will be flying suites, first time, MEL-CDG tomorrow and return LHR-MEL in a few weeks. So excited and looking forward to it. Will do my best to help with the cause as well. Might have to get the missus to join in too.

Aww, forgot to BTC our Meals Ex-MEL and it seems like its too late unless I try and call first thing tomorrow morning or should I not bother? I could only BTC it Ex-Sin. What's the menu like Ex-MEL SQ228 (dinner)?

Changes regularly - it will be fine - just go with it and enjoy the offerings - unless you want Lobster Thermidor?

Nah, I guess it's ok, getting lobster on the other legs.
There ya go - FWIW I rarely BTC - Cruiserette has a lash at the LT when she can - having said that I have BTC SIN-PEK next Tues - 08:30 dep / 14:50 arr so brunch served on board which is more breakfast than lunch - I will have eaten brekky in TPR pre dep so have BTC and will ask them serve my brunch as late as possible.

8oz Rib eye. That's a hearty brunch if ever there was!!

Will eat brekky at 07:30 - will eat BTC at 13:00 or a little later - brunch is usually an omelette - will be 16:00 before I get to hotel - too late for lunch - 8oz rib eye washed down with a bottle or two of Krug - can it get any better than that?

Back in Melbourne.
8 hours since Lobster Thermidor SIN-MEL on 207 this afternoon and still not hungry.
Could it have something to do with 2 in-flight lunches and 2 breakfasts, plus prawn laksa at 06.00 in SK lounge within the past 24 hours....?

Could never eat that much in one seating.
The first lounge wasn't that great. Not much service when we entered, not until more people started coming in. Only had most chandon on hand there. Didn't get a TPR invitation at MEL check in cocountershe seemed a tad confused when I asked, and just told me you didn't need it to get in, but a souvenir would have been nice. Hopefully LHR has them.

ninja many check-in ports such as MEL / SYD have indeed stopped handing out TPR invitations - but you are on the money they are a great souvenir. However physical invitation not reqd for TPR as if you hold SQ Gold R or Red F BP that is all you need.

Indeed only ever seen Moet or Piper in SQ MEL F - it is designed solely as self service lounge but the staff working there will serve you if they notice you require.

If I was 9 feet tall my BMI would be really good but I am seduced by champagnes, caviar and lobster that I get in Suites.

I'm arriving in NRT next year in suites. A friend is meting me there but his flight arrives a couple of hours later.

Would I have any form of lounge access I could wait in for an hour on arrival?
