Four of us went to Cala Luna tonight for dinner. Rita and Osvaldo are definitely back ! Food super just like before, similar menu. Rita sends you a big kiss Ron !

It's been almost a year, so it's time to revive this thread before it slides into oblivion.

After a trip to Noosa on the weekend (alas no dining outside the Noosa Springs resort), I know that my next few months will include a number of Sunny Coast trips, so lunch will be a must. Have one that I am going to do with an overnight and I'll be staying with my aunt @ Tewantin. Will keep you all posted on dates....

We spend a fair bit of time around the southern end of the Sunshine Coast... Favourite Chinese is Pineapple Patch at Glass House... La Dolce Vita for Italian and have had some great meals at Cracked Pepper and a few other Cafes along the Mooloolaba front. Favourite Breakfast place is Monica's Cafe in Maleny and there is a new Micro Brewery opened in Maleny called Brouhaha Brewery. Only been opened a week and they also do meals as well. Shame the reserve has closed in Maleny... Favourite seafood is The Terrace...

Another new restaurant tonight.
Orleans in Duporth Ave Maroochydore.
Good seafood gumbo.Mrsdrron loved her crab beignets.
$250 for 4 with wine and moonshine.
But alas no Amex.
And no camera tonight.

Nguyen brothers in the Kon Tiki building Maroochydore-next to the homemakers centre.
Good Vietnamese.Limited menu but really good and pretty cheap.BYO.

Good reminder about this thread, we are coming up to Caloundra with friends next week (Wed AM to Fri PM), we're staying in a cabin in the Big4 Caloundra (as our friends have a 4WD and caravan). BYO's suit :D

Last week went back home (sunny coast) to be with my daughter for her birthday. Went for breakfast to a place we love - Gainsbourg down at Mooloolaba.

The French Toast:

The avocado on toast (image does not do justice - was great :)

And the favorite of mine - a sort of eggs benedict concept but different - smoked trout on a quinoa pattie with bed of kale - absolutely divine :)
