Re: Sydney Trivia Nights (next Wed 29 July)

I will be in SYD in Dec on 11, 14 and 16, if you happen to have a trivia meet up there. Can't remember any answers for anything unless given at least half an hours notice, but would like to meet up if possible.

Re: Sydney Trivia Nights (next Wed 29 July)

So the list for 21st October looks healthy:

SydneySwan
Dodgeyhack
wanderer_au
kelvedon
kevrosmith

So who's up for Trivia this Weds 21st Oct. I'll book a table if we get a Quorum

I'm my usual "maybe, depending on work that day...". I'll be travelling in from Chatswood, so it's likely, but I'll probably be a bit late.

How many is a quorum? I am 90% certain to be able to attend.

I'm also travelling in from Chatswood and likely to be a little late. I'm more than a maybe though.
Weather report not looking the best - how is it if it rains?

It's under cover. the only thing at risk of getting wet is the back of your throat! And your presence would help immensely with those Gen Y music questions.

quo·rum n.

1. The minimal number of officers and members of a committee or organization, usually a majority, who must be present for valid transaction of business.
2. A select group.
3. The minimal density of bacterial cells that results in altered gene expression in a population of bacteria.

I'll use the second definition.

Re: Sydney Trivia Nights (next Wed 29 July)

Sorry all, I've got too much work to finish tonight so won't be able to make it. Good luck with the trivia. Enjoy the discussions.

Re: Sydney Trivia Nights (next Wed 29 July)

One of my chickens got out but I have finally managed to recapture her. Leaving hone (Wollstonecraft) in 5 mins.

Re: Sydney Trivia Nights (next Wed 29 July)

How was last night?

The night got off to a tough start, "name 5 countries whose name includes only one vowel, and which appears at least three times", but the arrival of Eastern Australia's leading Chicken Wrangler ensured a strong finish. By my maths we came within 10% of the top team, however maths is plainly not my strong point and the reality was that only a Craig Joubertesque ruling denied us the consolation prize that the Australian Hotel Trivia cognoscenti silently nod to!.;)
