Because when s**t hits the fan, they will always look after me!

Ken Oath, unlike some airlines in this part of the world.

Would also like to add I fly them because they are the best domestic airline anywhere in the world and not too bad internationally.

Because we were born in the same town? ;)I've mainly flown TAA and QF. A bit of Ansett, and a few years of UA (travel to DEN & easy upgrades made me want to stay with them). In 2006, work forced me to change to QF for my twice a year trips to DEN, and I've stayed pretty loyal to them & OW since. QF & staff on board were great with our family, and 4yo Little Miss on our trip to and from LHR this year. The CSM & FAs in J LHR-SIN were fabulous in attwnding to my FIL & finding him a doctor on board. Virign is fine, and I've flown them about 3-4 times. Deathstar is bearable if you think you're on a bus and don't mind FAs hiding behind a curtain after they've sold you refreshments.

It is a rare occasion when I am serious but....

1. I'll turn LTG on the 11th July so OW Lounge Access for life (enhancements willing)
2. PG on the 1st July - makes my life fractionally less miserable - for at least another year anyway
3. Since turning WP never failed to get bulkhead seats in Y or Y+ internationally.
4. F check in - international flights
5. F lounge access - international flights
6. JASA's - three MEL-LHR in the next 8 months
7. Express departure/arrival Cards when flying Y or Y+ internationally
8. J lounges - domestic flights
9. No status with DJ/VA
10. Alliance with wide range of international carriers
11. SYD and MEL F Lounge chips

As mentioned on the FB page

*Seeing the white Roo on the tail when coming back from O/S and hearing "I still call Australia Home" as I am boarding.

After 6 week stints in the US / Canada flying BYFOTD, being able to step up to the QF check-in desk, and then into the QF lounge at LAX, and lastly spotting Fergus, Reg, Charles or whichever QF A380 is doing the trans-pacific hop, is why I fly QANTAS.

because it's company policy and i'm knee deep in QF points and I can't back out now... wow that would boost morale...

I fly Qantas because it matters not were on this very big planet I walk on board the QF 747 / 380 aircraft, I know I'm home. In that AJ is very right.

Caught Malaria in India on one trip and the first sweats broke out about 1 hour out of Mumbai to Sydney. Chief pilot came to see me and asked if I wanted to go back to Mumbai to get medical attention? I told him him "Just get me home" and he did. Fantastic crew upgraded me to J and looked after me more than I could have ever expected. Too bad I slept the other 12 hours to Sydney.

Hey I have issues with Qantas, as all of us WPs and SGs do but if the S**t hits the wall, I know who I will choose to fly with.

If he wanted to get you medical attention he wouldn't have headed to Mumbai.

Maybe there was someone there he wanted to see.

A news paper in the mooring and a cold beer in the evening. That's why I fly qantas.

Plus I'm a shareholder so I have a financial incentive to do so.

Hahaha I love the "Because someone else is paying for it"

I don't know what it is, but for some reason I always enjoy my flight better on QF metal - I know VA do well, but I feel taken care of on QF, I don't feel packed in like a Sardine.

Most flights i've been on with VA lately hasn't had IFE. From DRW VA and JQ leave at the most rediculous times (ie 2am) where QF leaves at midday. QF have a lounge in DRW, VA don't.

Plus, as a previous poster said, i'm that far into my QFF, can't back out now.

QF might not be any good at taking care of it semi or irregular flyers, but they rock at frequent and VERY frequent flyers.

1) As above.

2) I like to fly J (or at least Y+) but cant afford it, and Qantas lets me earn plenty of points and redeem them for upgrades.

3) F check in and F lounge for international flights cant be beat - even more so when traveling with a 1 year old.

4) To avoid T2 in SYD.

4) At the end of the day if there are two planes in a holding pattern over SYD - one QF and one "other", and only 1 is going to be able to land before the airport shuts, I know which one I'd rather be on.;)

That's a matter of opinion - and yours is noted ;)

I would say they do it (inconsistently) well - rock is going overboard, in my experience.

Because I don't want to end up on one of those "no news" 6.30PM shows whining about how my flight was cancelled and and my grandmother has only got hours to live before I get married and I was charged $6 million for my suitcase because I didn't read the terms and conditions (the what???) and I have no where to stay tonight and I've been thrown out of the terminal and having some old fart like me shouting at the television................"WHEN WILL THESE PEOPLE EVER BLOODY LEARN????"

Been a member of the Qantas Club (in it's various forms) since January 1983. I only ever flew Ansett when Qantas booked me on an Ansett flight because they had to cancel their flight - for those who remember the days of parallel schedules and the ease of interlining. Never been inside a Virgin aircraft. Flew Star Class to HNL and return once linking up with AA "F" on a YUP. Oh, and I believe there is another airline flying somewhere in Oz. Sometimes!

I'm a Qantasophile from way way back and I'm not likely to change now.

Because I *currently* shop at Woolworths and sometimes need to burn points.
