It was certainly better than Y, particularly as in Y on the outbound leg I was in the middle seat on a 3-4-3 stuck next to a real bogan who took the arm rest, most of my leg room, and insisting on guffawing at some movie at a time when everyone else was trying to sleep! We only paid abt $300 more one-way compared with economy, which was well and truly worthwhile in food and legroom. Also got greeted by CSM and given noise cancelling headphones on the AKL-PER leg (no PE on that leg) and could reserve bulkhead seats and got priority luggage.

Week #12: No items have been found yet!

No items have been found and the last day of this week is tomorrow.

Purgatory is looking for more items to welcome into it.....

Week #13 has started!

No items were found last week. As a result, a random item was purged from the list.

I used random.org to generate a random number in the range 1-5. The result was a 1 (again!), so I selected the first remaining item (when sorted in ascending order of item number) and this was moved to Purgatory. This item was:
  • 3. Aircraft of an airline which is based in one of the former USSR republics except Russia.

15 points was deducted as a purging penalty from the score, in addition to the normal 6 points of weekly attrition.

There are now 4 items left to be found.

Post #3 will be updated soon.

Re: Week #13 has started!

Sure you didn't accidentally use ExplosiveTestRandom.org :?:

Nope, in fact, what I did was:
  • Used random.org quick generator to give a number between 1 and 5.
  • Positioned pointer over "Generate" button, then looked away from screen.
  • Continually pressed the "Generate" button without looking at the screen. Repeat for about 10 seconds.
  • After 10 seconds, stop pressing button and look what number was generated.

  1. Two photos required: Signs in London which correspond to the names of two coloured properties on a standard Monopoly board (UK English version).
I thought English resident Flashware would have claimed find 44.

Week #14 has started!

Another dull week of purgatory has been staved off by a sole find by simonpenny408.

Week 14 now begins with only 3 items left to be found.

Post #3 will be updated shortly.

So where is your own pictures for 44.

End of the Hunt

Since it seems like there's no activity on the radar and with 3 items left soon to be purged away (one was already due - random.org returned '2'), I think it's convenient to say that we can conclude the third Scavenger Hunt.

The AFF Scavenger Hunts are truly not possible to run without the help of the moderators allowing messages (or in this case, emails) with requests to change posts which are of > 24hrs in age. To that extent, once again a big, big, big thanks to serfty for putting up with me for the last n weeks of this hunt, and soon again for future hunts...

Stay tuned, sports fans, for Scavenger Hunt IV....hopefully coming to you soon....

Item 13 should not have been an issue with the number of Centurions on here. Thanks for organising and hopefully next I will be able to find more then 1 :(

Thanks for everything anat0l!

I look forward to the next Scavenger Hunt - hopefully while I am round the world and can have more success!
