Re: Triple shot espresso

Re: 26 "Bottle of The Glenlivet Scotch Whisky (age irrelevant)" - is the bottle (inside packaging) appropriate?

Spotted at Tesco (Braintree, Essex, UK).

Unfortunately I couldn't find Clotted Cream there!

2 x Ristretto capsules, 1 x Gingerbread capsule. Turns out I couldn't stomach a triple shot espresso this morning. Does a triple shot flat white count??

With the approval of the rest of the AFF community, I'll pay both of those. Well done!

Credits to Mal for the first find.

So that knocks two off the list:
  • #26. Bottle of The Glenlivet Scotch Whisky (age irrelevant) - Mal
  • #9. A triple shot espresso - notmensa

FWIW The Glenlivet needn't have been in a duty free shop. There are quite a few items that do not or cannot be found in an airport or on board an aircraft.

Had "Clotted Cream" with my Club Europe "Devonshire tea" one afternoon flight DBV-LGW in 2008.

I thought that one would be simple ... alas I've already been to two different stores and neither had them! (Cream, double cream, sour cream etc - yes!).

Clotted Cream is a specific type of cream manufactured in certain areas though, so probably isn't found everywhere due to cost/transport etc. I'm still a bit narky that BA used to have it in the T5 lounge but (apparently) removed it.

I did like scones + clotted cream + jam !

Re the no 6 Clickety Clack board:
Does the MEL intl arrival and or departure checkin board with flashing green lights count? Or is this too "new school"
SIN T1 also has a big one with all flights for the day on the departures level. I think there is one at TBIT.
:?:

ISTR there is one where you say....and it should be OK - its a full flipping one, any reason it mightn't count?

LW has just phoned me through and here is #35, i.e. "Buggy/cart used to move people around an airport (e.g. elderly, disabled, lazy people who don’t want to walk :p)"

This was taken today (23/02/2010) at SYD T3 at around 1703h SYD time

35_photo.sized.jpg

LW has also told me he's found another two and the photos are coming through to me, so it seems that he is the first one to join the HoT (Hall of Trios).

Well done, LW!

True to his word, LW has forwarded his other two finds:

#33: A bag sitting in a test brace for checking for an acceptable size of cabin baggage
Time: 23/02/2010 1737h SYD time
Location: SYD T3

I'm guessing that's LW's bag in the brace, albeit not aligned correctly :p

#34: Gate 13
Time: 23/02/2010 1737h SYD time
Location: SYD T3

LW gave me two photos just in case - but either was fine.

Thanks anat0l for posting these for me - you know my (lack of) ability with technology.

and I'll bet I win nothing...apart from being the first to post 3 from the list :)

Now enjoying a Coopers 62 Pilsner (a new beer being tried - see the RHS of the beverage area for a cute young Sydney-sider). On my way back home..yippee!

Just out of interest, notmensa, I suppose the photo was taken at home?

Where is home (city)?

I also got a photo of #40, but in the interest of the rules, I won't post...but if somebody wants me to MMS/email to them, I can be bribed

Re: Status Update

Current Finds (in chronological order):#37: An aircraft not manufactured by Airbus or Boeing

Inside or outside? Could have had three of these in the last week, CRJ, ERJ & MD80. And back on an ERJ tomorrow, so should be able to get at least an inside shot, if not outside.

Being picky, but does an MD80 count? Sure, it was McDonnell Douglas, but MD was absorbed into Boeing (don't you love how AA call them 'Boeing Super 80's :D)

Outside shot.

And MDs can count - most were manufactured outside the reign of Boeing.

I have just seen the 747 painted in Qantas socceroos livery. And it was parked up at Sydney airport. So thats 18 and 19. I cant post photos til Saturday:oops:

Damn, was at MEL T2 yesterday, could have easily snapped the arrivals board - also saw the Socceroos livery 744 in SYD on Monday. Next time...

Technically, that's a stand-off bay, no? PAX are still boarded via air bridge...

Have this one. A Continental ERJ, bad shot as it was dark, and I was hurrying as was called as last to board ....

Well if I'd had my wits about me tonight I did see #11: A cancelled flight shown on an airport FID - but forgot to photograph. There's a bit of that going around in NE USA at the moment.
