Just one reason I refuse every time my win10 box tries to helpfully prompt me to upgrade to win11. As long as it's optional I'm staying put thank you very much
ah yes, as we say "Have you tried turning it off and on again...."
and yes, I would often be responsible for servers with uptimes over a year. More recently we'd reboot only to install a new kernel with security patches and the like because, you know, that has to be a thing, but yes in general very solid reliability outside the Windows ecosystem. Though Unix systems can have their moments... get a runaway process go mad, java chewing up all your RAM for no good reason and sending you into swap hell or badly written applications (often also Java based
) sending CPU's into meltdown.... but often these could be solved without reboot.
But I digress...
