The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

Try #12. i have been putting in the correct code each time, don't know why they have an issue with my husband's contact details. Trying to send 2100 points to my account, never had a problem before.

What a pain. Looks like the work experience kids have been at it again.

Just try and change a phone number. Can only do so online by sending a code to the number you no longer have. No alternatives but ring and wait hours.

A friend wanted to transfer her points to her daughter who was not a QFF member. The daughter opened a new account and then the mother transfered her points across. The points arrived OK but so did a message that the points could not be used for three months.

Is this a thing with new accounts? Anyone heard of this restriction previouly?

This rule may have something to do with it;
  • You are required to have been a Qantas Frequent Flyer member for a minimum of three months before being eligible to transfer points.

Qantas website falling apart today;

1). Unable to change a CR booking - got 500 page not found.
2). Tried to make a new booking using my account to buy a ticket for my son - only express checkout available - can't change the name.

Thanks for this. My friend told me that the message said that the daughter was not able to use the points but more likely it said that the points could not be transfered for three months as per the rule you quoted.

The QF website is a complete horror show tonight - I've had to book each leg of BWT-MEL-SYD & return as an individual booking because the website kept throwing errors every time it went to look for flights, then when I was booking the MEL-BWT it refused to recognise BWT or Burnie as being a place... and now that I have them all booked finally after nearly two hours of trying - none of the bookings are showing up in My Bookings - but the funds have been taken off my credit card for each one... surely they can do better than this?

The QF website is a disgrace for the "Business Rewards" portal. I just tried to log in to make a booking and after entering the details and password and the security number sent to my phone, I kept getting an error message that "something went wrong". I finally get in after about 3 attempts and enter the details to make a booking. I reach the dates and select flights and I am returned to the login page and have been logged out ! I am not going to bother trying again. Over to VA and see how they go. QF are their own worst enemy.

Unless you’re getting a discount, you can just add your ABN to a regular booking and it’ll appear in your QBR dashboard.

I was getting similar problems with QBR login but it cleared up months ago.

I'm still getting the login problems - even when using the button thingy on my personal QFF page so that I should go straight across.

Thanks. Yes, I normally do insert the ABN when paying cash, but this time I wanted to use the QBR accumulated points, which I think I can only use when logged into the QBR portal.

The Wellbeing app stopped syncing with my Samsung Health late yesterday. Same for my iPhone using wife not syncing with whatever app iPhones have. I have tried the usual uninstall and reinstall a few times. It gave me one updated step count but on 0 today.

Ditto with my Samsung but I had done my 16,000 steps.
Mr Flyfrequently's iPhone wouldn't allow him to change his step count but still got his "point"
