I think it's time for a thread where posts about interesting things found on FR24 can be posted. Things like unusual activity, unusual flight paths, different aircraft and such. Maybe even sky art such as QF drawing giant kangaroos with their flight path (or Russians with a c#ck n balls).

So here's my initial contribution:

Spotted departing Kabul on FR24 a few moments ago. I've never seen a liveried fat jet like this.

Q suites?

Also, I hope Greta doesn't go looking at FR24 in the Gulf region just now: the amount of gas airborne is staggering.

I count 8 KC135s and two KC10s airborne in vicinity of the UAE just now. Six of those jets all heading for Afghani airspace. Quantity has a quality all of its own!

VH-ZNH appears to have had a little trip to ANC - presumably cargo-carrying?

SYD-ANC QF6016 18/9
ANC-BNE QF6043 19/9

And VH-ZNB is on its way from SYD to ISB (Islamabad) as QF103...

So that would be for those who got out of Afghanistan via the land border rather than via Kabul airport. Interesting that it's a QF flight.

Ex ADL today, operated by VH-ZNG as QF1330 as well...
Thanks.
Wondered what the route might be so had a look at FR24.
Currently showing the plane pointing south (heading 158 deg), but on its way back to ADL. Flying backwards ...

EDIT : looked back later and it seemed normal - maybe a glitch

SB601 today - PPT-NOU very interesting routing (avoiding anywhere near Tonga).

UA842 took fairly “northerly” route again steering well north of Tonga and NAN area.

QF311 operated by VH-ZNE is currently on its way from MEL to MCT...

Must be for the Socceroos.?
