And glad our place is pretty much self isolating - we face the beach. MrP has cancelled travel now for work and it will be a case of reading on the balcony overlooking the sea and long walks across the foreshore. I need to check up on Netflix, there seems to be a good series on Cricket on Amazon Prime. There's not much company bookwork to be done coz it's pretty much gone quiet after the next invoice round. And MrP has decided he will develop another website. He said he might write another book to which I asked where was he going to move to in order to do that? Authors and polite company do not mix.Glad I live on 5 acres
Just pondering whether we can go to drive through places as the 1.5 metre would exist

We are doing major house chores at the moment which were planned for the whole year
Nah. And with sucky exchange rate it was going to be $26 a month! I cancelled free trial but they charged me anyway. A month later and four weeks after I'd cancelled. I'm disputing with PayPal Currently.OK, on arrival back home:
* Unpacked groceries provided by friends and left in my car when I picked it up. Pantry looks a bit full
* Inspected garden - in great shape - Lots and lots of tomatoes on the vines, plus capsicums coming on and even some sweet corn left.
* Called local pharmacist - I can scan and e-mail in scrips, and they will deliver (great living in a small community)
* Called local IGA - I can phone in an order, and they will deliver
* Talked to neighbor on phone - got told the local 'secret' - the petrol station has good supplies of loo paper
* About to do some washing (maybe twice, in hot water??) and then, sadly, life will get pretty well back to normal. Back to my thesis.
Tonight, I'm going to have a big steak with tomato and eggs and the better part of a 2008 Rockford Basket Press. Its nice to be home!
I visited Versailles last week and by co-incidence I discovered the 'Versailles' series on US Netflix (did you get the US thing going?). Haven't checked if its local. I'm not sure of its historical accuracy, but its entertaining. (Its about the Court of Louis XIV, not the palace, although it was seen being built in the background.)
I’ll be returning in a couple of days and have to self-isolate, along with the Mrs. I can work from home, and did so a week or so ago for the few days I was working between two trips to/from Asia.
A big plus is two hours extra time in bed each morning (no commute or business attire!), and saving on transport costs. I work from home two days a week usually, but two weeks of it will probably drive me mad. Shouldn’t negatively affect what I can get done work wise though.
As for entertaining myself, I guess I’ll be smashing the life out of Netflix, and I’ll probably read every thread on AFF/Flyertalk. Maybe book some flights, I can research prices and destinations with all my new spare time! Although, as SydneySwan also says, there’s a lot of stuff around the house/garden I’ll have no excuse to put off, so there’s that.
Just perturbed about running out of milk as we dont have any concession cards we aren't able to access home delivery via Woolies or comes (once it is operational)
We have the seniors state card. Hoping that it may be of valueYes I am beginning to think that possession of a seniors card is going to become a valuable commodity. Who'd have thought?
The Seniors State cards are a State Government card so should be acceptable. We have the seniors state card. Hoping that it may be of value
However I don't want to share my shopping time with a whole lot of grumpy old seniors.
