Really nice shots there FlyboyAl,
+1 and I were at the Clipsal and didn't see the planes so close up!
Any shots of the Airforce chopper on display? I would have liked to see it take off on Monday around 10:30 - 11:00.

I don't think the RAAF have any helicopters. That would be Army or Navy.

Assume it was RAAF as it was under 24 hour "watch" by RAAF personnel.
When I had a conversation with one of the RAAF guys he mentioned that it was under watch because it was operational and being flown out Monday AM.
I should have taken a photo.

I just read an article about this bird.
‘Airborne gateway’ provides air-land integration for Jericho Dawn firepower demonstration
A firepower demonstration conducted at Puckapunyal on Friday as part of the RAAF’s Exercise Jericho Dawn series has successfully validated the use of Northrop Grumman’s ‘airborne gateway’ technology, carried on a Gulfstream II demonstrator aircraft, to allow data to be shared between various ADF platforms including F/A-18F Super Hornets, Tiger ARH helicopters and the Wedgetail AEW&C platform.
The Northrop Grumman-developed airborne gateway technology is based on that used in the US Air Force’s Battlefield Airborne Command Node (BACN) program and allows information to be shared across different otherwise incompatible datalink systems, like the Link 16 datalink used by the Wedegetail and F/A-18F and the Tiger ARH’s Eurogrid.

From Avgeek Nirvana aka Sint Maarten (SXM) here's some plane candy. There was a ridiculous amount of Galaxy's, Citations, Falcon 900's, Challengers etc - it would bring a tear to the eye.

Just a few from the CBR open day,

I had intended on taking more, but the crowds was once again unbelievable. We arrived at the airport at 9:00, 30 minutes before the event opened, we finally got onto the first (and only) plane the VA 737 at 10:00. A friend of ours had suggested meeting us at 10:00, we sent her a msg at 9:50 saying we'd been in line now for 20 minutes and we didn't want to give up our spot, she msg'd back stating she was in traffic and would msg us when she arrived.

We left just before midday, as we were driving up Morshead drive we got a msg from her stating she had finally arrived, she had been waiting in traffic for over 2 hours.
Would have hated to have actually wanted to fly out of CBR that morning.

Harvey, I have been to a few CBR open days (inc this one, great photos btw) and consistently the Airport Corp fails badly to manage anything particularly well.
I was waiting with you to rush the aircraft at 9:30 when the gates opened and still only got to see onboard one (lines were over 2hrs by 10am).
I considered posting an AFF meet up but had family in tow. Maybe next year we should arrange a meeting point.
