The Planespotting/General AV Geek Thread

That's some interesting gossip! How close will you be able to get to the residents, and can you reveal who they'll be? :p

The first aircraft went in on Wed 4th June. It was an Embraer Brasilia 120 turbo prop. Rego VH-TWF for the really keen spotters. Good views can be had from adjacent to the terminal, along the Santa Theresa Road (looking across the RWY) or from Maryvale Road. It's also easily seen from the apron (when walking to/from your flight) and during taxi/TO/landing. Here's the first resident, courtesy of the ABC.

9 RAAF Hawks paid a visit to OOL for a refuel at lunchtime today. They are on their way to TSV for "High Sierra", an exercise that will see the normally quiet RAAF TSV come alive not only with the hawks but F18s, P3s and P9s etc. With the many of the normal NTL residents absent, the Super Hornets from AMB have gone to NTL for another exercise.

I'm in BNE now waiting for my flight to TSV so will have to keep an eye on what aircraft are about.

They take plane spotting pretty seriously at the loop on Acacia St at BNE ........... I'm guessing the loop will go with the arrival of the second main runway.

The YBBN spotters site pulls off some very impressive images from time to time btw.

Just saw the two ROMBAC 1-11's sitting at Bucharest's Otopeni airport. will try to get a picture, but might be a bit hard as they are on the other side of the runway. A copy of the BAC 111.

Two more load pics - probably exceeded their baggage allowance with this one - cash or card for that ?

The cars was recently spotted at Dutton's in Melbourne

There was a comment on the Virgin facebook post that the car was heading to Classic show in Germany ....it went via LA and I think another North American port ...... but that comment has since been deleted.
