lol, I was wondering how soon that issue would arise. :)

yeah. I didn't see whatever was deleted but I can imagine.

It's human nature I suppose but not one I would ever be interested in.

If I give my passes to anyone it will be as a gift to use to make their experience better. I've gifted the 2400 Gold Status for years now and it's such a pleasure to see it used and appreciated.

I do imagine there is a spillage factor with these things - consider the P1's who wouldn't use them(or have anyone to give them to, or think of0. I'd hope those looking to take advantage in this way is only a few numbers.. but as we know from searching Ebay where the coasters and other bits and bobs show up there are some out there.

Won't ever be me.

If I got to 2400 SCs or 3600SCs I'd give Partner Gold and first lounge invitations respectively to friends. I know some friends who would benefit a lot from it.

I will be giving may passes away, the folks would not be able to use them as upcoming flights are not QF. They will most likely go to someone in the office.

If not to someone in the office they may end up on free to good home thread.

Anyone received their lounge invitations yet?

Edit - scrap that, just logged on to the portal and have seen the two invitations there - expiry Sept 2018.

It's based on when your membership year expires. I think you'll get two more in your next membership year if you're still at the P1 level.

That's my understanding now too - my P1 status as it stands is valid to Sept 18 so the passes are valid until then. If your year ends in September 2017 and you haven't requalified, passes will be close to useless. I was worried this would happen to me and was prepared to make a case for some leniency. I'm sure there'll be some P1s in that position.

November 17 probably enough time to make use of them - even if just a giveaway.

At least QF are trying to make P1 different to WP. I haven’t seen any huge difference for a WP and P1 but here it is. Maybe give P1 a few CL passes!!!!

Took advantage of the 20 per cent Epiqure discount the other day - worked well.

Now don’t laugh, but I also made a purchase of a couple of items plus some charity donations using points in the Qantas store. Not quite a toaster. Was a good deal in my view including free delivery of a gift to someone, plus I have more points than I honestly can use, and I wanted to ‘reward’ them for coming up with new benefits.

Anyway, no discount code but assured on the web page that discount would be applied on checkout. Went all the way through and nothing.

Purchase complete and no discount. Couple of days later I emailed P1 team. They promised to look into it when the store was open. Got a response back that neither the store nor the team knew of any such 20 per cent discount promo!!

So I sent them the Briefing email and two web links promoting it. Eventually got an apology and a promise of a point reimbursement in a few days - not including the two charity donations - which has now happened.

All is well. But how pathetic is it that not even the P1 team knows they have a store discount promo on. The link to the relevant page is in their current signature block for heaven’s sake.
