"Would you like anything from our bowl of sweaty cheddar slices with that, sir?"Won't we all cheer (those of us still around) when SYD don J gets redone (but bemoan the pain while it happens....)
I'll say hi to the nothing tomorrow as I'm passing through. Can't wait for another whiff of "brown slop de jour"
Thanks. I've never really been much in SYD J lounge and usually late evening so I'm a bit of a newbie there. I've spent more time in the others.
That's not entirely true. There's a good serve of disappointment along with dirty tables in SYD
Are we trying to put off our Newbie's or manage their expectations?"Would you like anything from our bowl of sweaty cheddar slices with that, sir?"

Unless wanting a full refund as the desired outcome where there has been an involuntary change to only one of the sectorsI'm yet to find a downside to this.
or the ability to change flight for free.Unless wanting a full refund as the desired outcome where there has been an involuntary change to only one of the sectors
Mmmm thanks @AIRwin - family "do" is the purpose of the trip, might get blacklisted from further events if we bailed!!Unless wanting a full refund as the desired outcome where there has been an involuntary change to only one of the sectors
Thanks @AustraliaPoochie payment will be c card.Depends too if you are going to use pay id or pay by card.
Paying by credit card will see 2 sets of visa/mastercard credit/debit card charges.
But if you pay by pay id, no fees.
I book separate, as I need to keep both my QFF and VFF accounts alive, so book one going out with one Aust dom airline, and come back with the other.
ADL - MEL with VAd J is quite cheap, $399.
Easily eliminated by buying a gift voucher and then redeeming it against the flight.Paying by credit card will see 2 sets of visa/mastercard credit/debit card charges.

Oh no!Just saw: no more POLi payments for QF
Maybe its already known on here. Another money saving way to book QF flights now gone end of the month.www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
That's a fair call. I usually both want to get there and back, anyway, and have flex in my schedule so this has been more of an annoyance than a need to cancel & refund. But I can see it'd be a consideration in some scenarios.Unless wanting a full refund as the desired outcome where there has been an involuntary change to only one of the sectors
... or a Jetstar, Emirates, China Eastern or oneworld marketed and operated flight.QF Lounge access 'on arrival' is only available to WP/WP1 members at the Australian domestic airport lounges (QC & J), following any Qantas flight on the same day. In theory you could transfer from INT to DOM to take advantage of this, but generally not worth the hassle, I'd expect
I have availed myself of this several times over the last few years, mainly in MEL.ΩΩ Lounge access eligibility is based on a customer's class of travel, Qantas Club membership, Qantas Frequent Flyer or oneworld membership tier, or partner airline benefit. Access to Qantas lounges is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Club. Arrivals: Platinum and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyer members may access Qantas Domestic Business or Qantas Club lounges upon arrival, if you have travelled that day on any flight with a Qantas (QF), Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK), Emirates (EK), China Eastern (MU) or a oneworld member airline marketed and operated flight number on your ticket.
