The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Yes. Pretty much straight away.

A reminder that one has 90 days to select which option they want. IF that 90 day window extends into the next membership year, that may be useful for some for the SCs as they count to the membership year when redeemed (unlike other bonus Offers).
Ah yes forgot about this feature. I could roll it over - but then I would miss SYD F lounge in the next flight. Why i was asking was because I had another flight out of SYD early feb 6 days after when I should in theory hit WP with loyalty bonus.

At least until March.

Another data point. My bonus point/SC offers alway arrive quickly - sometimes almost as the qualifying flight lands. After you select, it’s very quick to appear - often the next day.

I'm looking to book some reward seats and my daughter will be turning two after travel commences.
If your child turns 12, or your infant turns 2, after travel has commenced, Qantas will allow you to use the ticket at the reduced fare within its validity.
I'm assuming the above applies, but before I pull the trigger, is anyone here able to confirm the same rule applies to reward seats?

Edit: all flights are QF flights

But would it could for the return leg if the child/infant turns 2,/12 between flights?

My daughter will be 23 months old on the departing flight and 2 years old on the returning flight. Does anyone know if my ticket would be valid?

Edit: when it says travel commences, is that for the whole ticket or the specific leg of the ticket? It’s seems a bit ambiguous to me and all the airlines seem to have different policies around this.

Tried making a CR booking but the website timed out at payment. Now the seats are not showing up again when I try to rebook. Anyone know how long it takes for the seats to be returned?

You may get an email later this evening to tell you that your booking is still pending payment and providing a link to complete the purchase. That's what seems to happen with regular paid tix that encounter the problem you just described (albeit with Qantas IT's typical consistent inconsistency).

hi guys, I wanted to ask. If there is a name mistake on a Qantas Reward Booking (Partner airline flight though namely emirates). Who is the contact to amend the ticket?

What is the mistake? I'd say contact QF - but you may end up like my LATAM flight booked using QF points with both my middle initial (from my QF profile) and middle name (which I manually added when booking not knowing about the middle initial automatically being populated):

Hi Superstars,

On Monday my wife and i are flying to Hawaii on Jetstar Business (if you can call it that ;) both tickets were bought using QFF points.

Can we expect access to the Syd Qantas lounge before we depart?

With Many Thanks Adrian

Looks like no lounge access without a Max bundle:

So I looked again this morning and the inventory was restored so I booked the seats!

Hi, I've got a question regarding the wine. I'm hoping to use a qantas wine voucher on a set of wine that offers 24000 bonus points, I am also hoping to use my first order promotion which offers me 5000. Will the qantas wine voucher invalidate my bonus points and first order promotion?

It’s unlikely, but what are the T&C’s on the voucher, and what are the T&C’s of the bonus points promotion. If there are any exclusions they will be listed here.
