How can I convert the award availability shown in ExpertFlyer into reality on QF???

EF says QF2 has U class available on the 25/12 but the QF booking site shows zero, both in direct and multi-city booking. What kind of a magic wand would be needed to make the seats appear and bookable???

When one selects rewards only, there is a J reward (well at least one) on 26DEC on MH SIN-KUL-SYD. it's early, but it's there for 75k QFF points.

With a Business Credit Card, do you have to credit the points to a Business account? Or can you grab the points for your private QFF account?

Normally your own FF program but there are / used to be products out there that could pool for the business.

Sign your infant up while creating an email account for them, and then as the parent you can arrange a points transfer from their to your account.

Correction to my post - looks like youngsters can only earn points if they have their own seats AND aren't on an infant fare.
Discovered that when reading this:

Maybe your son can use that email address to write a complaint to QF.

EDIT: Correction to the correction: the T&Cs say in 9.4.1 points are not earned on "(b) infant fares (infant fares do not include infants travelling in their own paid seat)".

I think I'll give up trying to be helpful now!

Have some weird email name, so you know if and when it (the email address) gets spammed.
You can set up another email address for him when he gets older, and needs one for school or other "pursuits".
And when he is older, tell him to behave, or you will show him his first email address name!

I earned 800 points for the flight (QFF Silver), and my husband earned 800 points (Bronze). This is what their Calculator shows as well. I guess that's what I am entitled to, but I just don't understand why. Is it because the flight is so short, and without the g'tee the FF points would be <600, so I am getting my 50% bonus while husband is getting min points g'tee? I kinda think that's it.

QFF go by sectors.
Certain city pairs are only 800 QFF and 10 QF SC.
ADL - MEL, MEL - SYD etc.
You are guaranteed 800 min, its not per $ spent, its their idea or view of the miles.
Used to be ADL - BNE was much more too, but that got shortened a long time ago.
VA is points per $ spent for earning in their system.
Edit: maybe put in a claim for that 50% more points for that particular trip?
Maybe the flight you took was not an eligible flight, who knows, but as lower grade QFF members, when you call them, you will be put to the (QFF's) outsourced call cent(er) who might try to "bum" you off, and provide excuses.
Best of luck in the claim anyway.
I am happy on QFF NB, so no bonus for me, but have been SG in the past.
On the QF points calculator, on short sectors, I don't know the sectors you flew, but I did a test.
Even picking Silver, ADL - MEL as a Silver, still shows on discY 800 QFF earnt and 10 QF SC.
On longer sectors, ADL - PER, there is a difference, 800 QFF vs 1050 QFF points.
ADL - PER as a SG, there is also a difference.
So maybe on the shorter sectors, the 50% bonus does not kick in.

BNE - LAX, there is a big bonus, on your tiers between QFF NB and PS and SG.
So, to sum up, maybe on the short sectors, no bonus.

Hi - as a QFF Silver member, you are entitled to the base points earn, plus 50% on top of that base earn amount.

Using the Domestic Australia and New Zealand earning table I've linked below, you can find that a flight such as BNE-HTI (a flight of 537 miles) is a 'Domestic Australia Short Flight (0 to 750 miles)', which would earn 400 QFF points in discount Y (or 600 points, with your status). That noted, there is the minimum points guarantee for Qantas flights of 800 points, and that higher guaranteed value is what you are credited with for these short legs.

This same earning of 800 points also applies in this scenario up to the Platinum & P1 levels (both with a 100% bonus) for a Domestic Australia short flight. in discount Y. It's not until the base earn and bonus moves you above 800 points that you would notice any difference between you and your husband's earning.

Each QF ff member does not need a unique email address. One email address can be used by multiple people. Not unusual to have families with the same email for ffp's.

On the QFF points earn calculator tho, if you put in BNE - HTI, even with a PS in the 2nd line, its still 800 QFF points and 10 QF SC in discY.

A question about pricing. I'm looking at SYD-SIN (on QF metal). If I price a return (two-way) flight on their website, the outbound comes to $1,116 (Y flex). But if I price it one-way, it'll be $1,416.

What I'm thinking of is a Y cash fare out and a J reward back home. Is there a way to book the outbound at a lower price with this combination, making the total cost to AUD $1,116 + SGD $218 + 68,400 points? A good TA (or playing roulette with the QF call centre)?
