Excellent!

ein Weissbier bitte

Can't wait to see it for myself in August.

Sorry to spoil things so quickly after posting about it being available... but was just chatting with the bartender and he said that it's only on for a few more days until the current stock goes (about 2 kegs left) and then it's back to just Tiger & Heineken again. I was visibly upset.

Damn that is disappointing news. It would be great to have some weissbier available permanently Red Roo.

And there is a mini AFF gathering on the 24th.

Yes I'm disappointed I will miss the mini gathering and having a beer with you Nizar.
Arriving on the 9th and will probably fly out around the 14/15th with Jetstar to MNL.

Hopefully it is still there on Wednesday when I fly home!

I made a good dent in the reserves... but hopefully you'll still get some! First airport lounge I'd seen with a favourite beer on tap - though it was noted earlier in this thread that it's also on in the AY lounge at HEL. I'm going via there to MUC for Oktoberfest this year and will be ready to indulge ahead of the festival!

I strongly agree. That was one of the things I really loved about the new lounge which put it a tier above the rest for me. Would be great to keep the Erdinger!

Variety is the spice of life seems to be the theme for QF in Singapore as far as the lounge goes, I wonder if this is because they get a lot of regulars or is it a case of trying things to see what works????

I am still waiting for Champagne on a day when I am there :p

I'm hoping they may have Champagne for National Day weekend. Especially the Saturday. :).

They'd also better have Creme brûlée. And lots of it!

I was briefly in the lounge earlier today.

Pork belly and grilled snapper on the cook to order.

Some stringy Kenyan lamb and some stringy chicken. Had a taste of each.

I had a look around but could not find the desktop that was mentioned. Perhaps hidden in some room but did not have time to ask. Met an AFFer who was on their way home.

As did I yesterday. I enjoyed both - I'm guessing the Kenyan lamb went with the cous cous and the stringy (satay?) chicken went with the rice and bok choy. Perhaps the only thing lacking was labels, but that could've been me without my glasses. I could have asked but I would've risked getting my wine glass topped up again.

The labels are on the roof of the middle thingy, as a sort of menu rather than in front of each pot. Same for both tables.

And all the stuff I've had from those buffets has been great too, not too cold nor old, and decent pieces of meat not just fat and bone.

Thankyou for this info. I'm in KL for 4 hours. Might be worth it!

Even better news as I have just found out tonight.

You can pay to access the MH Golden Lounge in KUL

- Sattelite building
-- MH Enrich member RM150 and non-member RM200
- Main building regional lounge
-- MH Enrich member RM120 and non-member RM170

Does not appear to specify a time limit.

Having recently (10 days ago) visited the Golden F Lounge in the satellite terminal, I'm not sure it's worth RM200...

Nice enough lounge, but not really that amazing. Then again, if you plan on eating and drinking a lot, you could end up ahead given the airport vendor prices...

No desktop was mentioned, a printer was, and you need to see the staff, presumably its connected to a PC at the front desk or its an air print type setup.

Great news AFFers! I’m very happy to announce that we’ve enhanced the Qantas Singapore Lounge by recently installing a printer.

Please see any of our friendly lounge staff for assistance on your next visit.

Very Thai themed this weekend in the Singapore Lounge. I did a Saturday afternoon flight up to KL on 3K, and the menu choices were grilled fish and thai style stir fry beef. The main choices in the hot buffet were pork larb, a chicken and cashew nuts dish with a little chili (IIRC), and some noodles. Salads were fantastic I thought.

FWIW I flew back this afternoon on a cheap MH fare and in the MH KUL FCL I had a nice caesar salad, very good osso buco with penne pasta and finished off with some apple crumble and haagen daaz.

I think on both flights I good my airfare's worth of food and beverages. :)

It's an Airprint Printer. I didn't see a PC around anywhere when I was there last week.
