The Qantas Singapore Lounge

So only pseudo print facilities in SIN lounge? A desktop with attached printer would be really nice.

Having recently (10 days ago) visited the Golden F Lounge in the satellite terminal, I'm not sure it's worth RM200...

Nice enough lounge, but not really that amazing. Then again, if you plan on eating and drinking a lot, you could end up ahead given the airport vendor prices...
I do not think lounge access is worth that much either. Someone without status was looking for options and that is another.

Thanks, m10 but oh, for goodness sake QF. What about the X% of the lounge users who don't live in the Apple world?

Gee, thanks Red Roo. Ever the bearer of good news aren't you? But, um ... you left a few bits of critical information out didn't you?

Spin, spin, spin is what we are fed.

And if you don't have any Apple products ?
Too bad ?

Or maybe any device can log onto their wifi network and print documents ?
Or would it be uncompatible with anything except Apple ?

I will probably do what I did last time. Drop by the BA lounge beforehand.

So people who don't have I-things can't print?

not necessarily, but it would likely require additional software.

Or watch a video etc

Yeah, like I'm going to go through all that for the 'privilege' of doing some printing at the QF SIN lounge from my PC.

Simply providing what they provide I think in EVERY other QF lounge would be OK. Just one PC with a printer would be enough.

Too hard for QF.

I'm there right now and I have to say, it's no SYD FLounge, but from what I've heard few lounges are. It is however the nicest JLounge QF operates internationally that I've been to, pity about the view.

You could always ask about giving a USB to front desk or emailing attachments to front desk and having them print for you perhaps?

Sure, that would be a fall back if you were desperate, but I'm sure those very nice people at the SIN lounge would have thought of that, and put it on their sign as an option if it was available. I mean, they do realise that there are people who don't use I-stuff, don't they????

You poor disillusioned lounge lizards thinking this is a top notch lounge, food doesn't make a lounge the hole experience does! this lounge does not ever have a place to store luggage, no where to go to get away from the kids or not even cheese and crackers to nibble on. The décor is okay as long as you don't look up and see all the pipe work and ducting running along the ceiling, a let down to the overall superior quality to the upgraded finish in terminal one. There are far better lounges around the world, even in the Auckland business lounge there is more solitude, but certainly Sydney first beats this one hands down. Singapore lounge looks like is has gone the way of the airline, in one word, Budget.

Where is the hole in this lounge?

Well I thoroughly enjoyed this lounge on my visit. Its the best in Singapore besides the SQ f lounge and private room

I thought that was a troll poster until I realised they had 18 posts.

As previously mentioned, you c annoy compare this QP (which it is in the end- that's the 'lowest' level of access allowed) to an F lounge at the carrier's main hub.

It's a massive improvement in what was there and is a great effort by QF. And I am no QF shill, I think most everything else they are doing is disastrous, ESP for PER and ADL int flights.

So if you are not carrying your own devices with you then you cannot print?

I noticed ~12 desktops in the BKK Qantas lounge. I am sure they can arrange Jetstar Asia to carry a couple of these desktops over to the SIN Qantas Lounge.

Another brief on the Qantas Singapore Lounge - this time on SMH
Qantas New Lounge Singapore | Changi Airport | Lounge Sweet

From the article:
Platinum frequent flyers have a reserved space and receive an experience that includes shirt pressing, shoe shine and extra-nice toiletries in the showers.

I don't recall seeing a separate space for WPs - is that new in the last few weeks?

Cheers.

I think the word "one" has been deleted/edited out, as its for P1.

Aha - is it actually a dedicated space or room off the lounge itself though, or just the additional shower facilities (plus services offered)?
