wallacej, you mention you normally stay at Springwood...you do know that it's Spring Hill that is the considered meeting place. There is a little distance between the two (like 30 kms)

As I work in Spring Hill, I could be in for this meeting. Will have to check my diary tomorrow.

Yes I am aware - thanks anyway. So if we can determine the venue, I can change my accommodation arrangements to Spring Hill instead.
Cheers

The venue is in Wickham Terrace. You can stay at the Metro Hotel Tower Mill or Best Western Astor Metropole which are close to each other, the Grand Chancellor around the corner, the Best Western in Gregory Terrace or even the Holiday Inn which is only 5 minutes away.

Aaah, I know the location, I think :) Count me in!
Yes you do know the location. We have a few possible starters already.

Just for fun - there is your routing :) MileageMonkey 0.95021

Code:
QBF	Vail/Eagle, CO, USA
QBL	Bani Walid, Libya
QDU	Duesseldorf, Germany Main Train Station
QEC	Elmarj City, Libya
QEJ	Elgarhbolli, Libya
QGG	Agedabia, Libya
QGH	Gherian, Libya
QIE	Istres, France
QKB	Breckenridge, CO, USA
QKL	Cologne, Germany Train Main Railroad Station
QKO	Khoms (Al Khums), Libya
QMQ	Murzuq (Marzuq), Libya
QRO	Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico
QSY	Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
QUB	Ubari, Libya
QXB	Aix
QZL	Zliten (Zlitan), Libya
QZT	Zawia Town (Zawiat al Mukhayla), Libya

That is what I have been able to find in terms of Q airports - though I suspect not many flights from PHL to Libya...

You missed a couple simongr, which I am just checking:

QCU - Heliport, Akunnaaq, GL
QDx - a whole bunch in Brazil (none I recognise)
QFx - a bunch in Norway
QGx - a couple in Brazil, one in Japan, one in Greenland etc
QHx - more in Brazil
QIx - more in Brazil and Greenland
QJx - more in Greenland
QMx - a couple - in Italy, Brazil, Greenland, Libya
etc etc

There were a couple in the USA, but none that had direct flights:

QBC - Bella Coola Airport, BC, CA
QMV - Montvale Airport, NJ, US
QNY - Marine Air Terminal, New York, NY, US
QWG - Wilgrove Air Park, Charlotte, NC, US

Hmmm, I had a different IATA code for Vail/Eagle:

EGE - Eagle County Airport, Vail, CO, US

Found a couple of other interesting ones:

QQM - Manchester Piccadilly, GB
QQP - London Paddington, GB
QYW - Cannes Vieux Port Ferry Service, FR

So we fail this time at Q. Not a bad effort from a combined team of freaks

Mine was the bus station...

Ok so next time we need to make sure that MNOP are towards the mid east given the number of libyan locations...

Don't know what your sources of airports were, but I used Wikipedia.

The Q codes there are either:

  • IATA general codes for cities
  • Non-commercial ports, e.g. military bases, semi-private airfields or non-air transport locations
The remainder of Q?? locations didn't have other locations coming out of them beginning with R in the IATA code.

So we were hosed.

(Mind you, I was getting worried about how to handle the end of the alphabet, viz. after T).

I'm formulating the rules for a new game.......soon.......

Some are missing in action....

I used the flightstats weblink that serfty gave to find the IATA codes.

Now with the Amex thread going to a crawl, we have the opportunity to catch up.

Shall w start another game....starting in the USA this time.

Atlanta (ATL)

I used wikipedia to get an idea, then verified the routing's existence on one of the availability tools. Unless it's something pretty obvious of course.
