It has failed me.

So what should I say now I was not able to get my medicine from the pharmac_? Well done Australia Post for getting everyone else's package on time?

Well, up to you to say well done or not. I suppose if Australia Post had failed to get everybody's package on time, that would not matter either because the fact is that your package was not delivered on time.

I'm just trying to put perspective on the whole thing. It doesn't make what Australia Post did acceptable - you have to understand that I'm not supporting Australia Post in that your package not arriving on time is acceptable in and of itself. But from a broad perspective I would not class that as a huge fail. It's not a pat on the back for sure, it's a sharp kick up the backside. A huge fail qualifies for someone that should have their legs broken and being run out of town on a rail.

Then again, if you feel that someone's legs should be broken and being run out of town on a rail, be my guest.

Main thing you should be doing now is dealing with the fact you have no script (i.e. go to a doctor) if you really need that medication, followed up by sending a sharp "please explain" to Australia Post; if need be, filing a small claims.

No. I would not want that either but a package that was sent on Tuesday was still not delivered by Friday.

This is Express Post Platinum which costs $15 and the best Australia Post can offer is a replacement?

Why did we put faith in this service in the first place? I am hoping the prescription is not lost and I want my money back. That is not a lot to ask or expect and I do not care what their fine print says....

Did you try tracking your package?

If the website didn't work, did you call Australia Post?

Fact is, it should've worked. But if the service includes tracking then if something was going awry, I'd be squeezing that service out of them as well; if that means I call them and deliver them a blast why it's taking so long. Especially when the irony of the situation is that a regular mail service would've beaten the Express Post Platinum by now.

Called Australia Post when package was expected. They had no idea as package was still in Sydney even though it was going to Queensland.

Tracked package as well. It goes something like this

Received Strathfield where it stayed for ~36 hours
In transit Northgate yesterday morning
In transit Brisbane Airport not long after
Received Brisbane Airport yesterday afternoon
Onboard with driver for delivery today Northgate
Delivered Northgate

But as far as I am aware there is no package. Will be interested to see what happens when I get back to work in 2 weeks time.

Haha. A while ago when Tony Hancock was staying at the Hilton near me and made a post about the area, I commented about a dodgy nightclub nearby called cable. Well lo and behold, they are now having their licence reviewed due to "criminal activity".

Hope they lose it!

I am all lounged out.

I think it is 7+ hours now but I guess better than sitting around outside in terminal. Just had a shower and will head off to collect luggage soon and head over to T2.

I will keep saying it.

Why does life take great pleasure to kick me in the guts at every opportunity?

Collected luggage from Lost and Found and moved across to T2 waiting for MH check-in to open. Went to check-in desk and apparently I do not have a booking. The system automatically cancelled my booking as it thought I was a no-show in February even though I did get on next flight. They have managed to get me back on original flights in business.

Pays to re-confirm bookings when in doubt....

Glad it worked out for you.. Thus far ;)

I used to be able to witness affidavits, stat decs etc. I didn't mind it too much at work, however when family and friends ring to 'catch up' and bring papers with them...

Don't you hate that.

I could start a thread on people asking for travel advice, etc... At least it is something I enjoy.

Did the jack russell get a say in which one?

Nope. She doesn't seem too fussed, a few growls to put her in her place. The puppy is smaller than the cat so it's not too hard. She's already 5 months so the discipline will be pretty critical.

4 days until Eggs Benedict ;)

15 days til some Sun morning Taittinger in the BNE Plat lounge. ;)

Followed by QF15 in non-upgradeable Y. So glad work is paying for a trans-pac work-related flight.

Congratulations Katie on spelling Taittinger correctly. I'm being finicky/pedantic I know, but so many here don't. :)
