This man lost a leg and thought he might sell an old Indian blanket that he inherited from his family.

Watch the auction story! This is a wonderful 'rags-to-riches' story!

I'll admit to tearing up at the end - a deserving outcome.

This is why Antiques Roadshow should be compulsory viewing! Love that show.

Definitely a good news story.

It tells me nothing about Gareth.

It does tell me something about some people though but I better stop now as it is not worth a holiday.

It actually says a lot about Gareth. Your response also lets us know you don't know Gareth, which means no amount if explanation will help. You had to be there.

Personally, I see myself as being like Andy Pipkin.

Heard that a former News of the World editor and the UK PM's former press secretary had some meetings awhile ago.

Who is Brian Cox?

Heck, even I knew this one: Basically pop star turned scientist.

Cox is best known to the public as the presenter of a number of science programmes for the BBC, boosting the popularity of subjects such as astronomy and physics.[SUP][13][/SUP] He has been described as the natural successor for BBC's scientific programming by both David Attenborough and the late Patrick Moore.[SUP][14][/SUP][SUP][15][/SUP] He also had some fame in the 1990s as the keyboard player for the pop band D:Ream.

Sorry but I've never seen anything about him. My bad I guess but I can live with it. Astronomy isn't my thing.

Heard this song on a Christian radio station a few weeks ago and it grabbed me, pleased to see it more mainstream having been played on the block tonight, powerful lyrics sung by talented performers:

Nah. That's cool. My SiL has let slip a few things about stuff and has read the books. So I'm just waiting for what she told me to happen.

My predictions, based only on speculation from watching the TV series, is that John snow and brand will both be able to ride dragons.

I also constantly remember that the author is not getting any younger and he still has a number of books to write. In the series. So we could very much be left with an unfinished work.

David Benioff I believe has permission to complete the show/and or book if Martin passes on.

What a disaster. There was no need to stop. There was no need to go around the block. Should have just kept going.

Tommy Oar, you are a legend - okay it took a deflection on the way and looped over the goalkeeper but it's a goal nonetheless :D

Hvr, we may have our wish :D

Damn, handball by Matt McKay in the box in the last minute, Honda slots it. We need to keep the draw though to have any chance for Brazil 2014. Japan are there now. We also need to win at least one of our next two (home) games

Lucky we aren't a country in Latin America; McKay might not live to see another day let alone match after that mistake.
