Anyone here with a tattoo? Why? Some I can tolerate the majority are hideous....

I've always said I'll get a tattoo when I find one I would be happy to have for the rest of my life - that should keep them away from me. I have friends that are covered with tattoos everywhere except from the base of their neck up and their hands. He's got the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, in between the rainforest and a whole host of birds.

An event like that can really change your perspective.

And no drinking can save you a heap of money. My wallet is a fair bit lighter this morning.

But does your Amex now have a lot more transactions? ;)

Agreed, it did change things for me. Fortunately for good, hopefully.

Not a bad idea, Bundy Bear.

QF009, so with almost nobody to share your Krug, you must have been smashed going through Customs after every flight...

Oddly, I have found that I get less drunk in the air than on the ground. It's meant to be the other way round isn't it?:shock::lol: As for yesterday, 1.5 bottles of Krug down and a bottle of shiraz. :D

Would admit to feeling a tad tipsy after HKG-SIN 2 days ago. Had a boozey brunch prior to flight and then that bottle of Krug and some of the DP onboard. Thankfully didn't visit the VSCH at HKG or the coughtails would've done me in :p (had no time after brunch, pretty much ran straight to gate after coming off airport express). Was in a wee giggly mood post flight, and dropped the bottle of Perrier Jouet I bought for a friend at SIN duty free which thankfully didn't break...

Don't own an Amex, and I am not sure that paying for drinks with credit card at a bar is really a good thing to do.

I still feel just as bad today as I did yesterday; I am not as tired but my head hurts more. No I did not continue drinking last night.

I should be right by tomorrow night. ;)

Sounds like you're experiencing that thing I've heard of before, called "Ageing"

Ageing; oh no; any suggestions how to cure this aging thing.

Oh and I thought I should add a separate thread for drinks on Wednesday as the off topic thread has a life of its own. Actually many lives. ;)

Is there ever an AFF drinks thing happening in SYD?

I believe the cure is called "scotch"...

Depends if you can organise a date and a time with a few AFFers.

There was talk that AFF Gatherings Part 3 might be in Sydney.

Brisbane has the advantage that a few of us have already met, some of them I have known for more than 5 years.

If I wasn't working in BNE I could try to organise a monthly drinks gathering in SYD. I guess Saturday night would not be a popular night as most people would have plans for the weekend....

Unless it's an AFF Gathers weekend...;)
