I think Liliana from Masterchef Australia 2013 (Season 5) did this kind of cake for an elimination challenge (but I think it only had 4 layers). It was her kids' favourite birthday cake. She was unfortunately eliminated on that cook (but not because she didn't make a good cake, it was simply because the other contestants did a better job with their dishes).

Indeed she did; Mine looks better though :p

Seems pretty literal to me.

In any case, clearly you need to get over the fact that I have a different opinion to you.

hyperbole to emphasise a point (which this clearly was and therefore figurative speech) cannot be extrapolated to a medical diagnosis :)

in fact I would go one further to say it could be potentially negligent for a doctor to assume a flight attendant - presenting with tiredness - suffered from sleep apnea rather than exploring other more obvious causes first (such as jet lag).

Fortunately, I did not make a medical diagnosis. Not sure why you would suggest otherwise.

As for hyperbole, as I've stated a couple of times now what you described is exactly what someone with sleep apnea experiences. Far from hyperbole, it can be reality. Your words seemed literal.

Looks like things are heating up with fires in my area. If I wasn't on my way to Brisvegas now, I'd be sitting in my Emergency Operations Centre doing something related to the management of the fire.

For anyone playing along at home, there's fires in the Castlereagh, Londonderry, Bligh Park & South Windsor causing concern.

My house is around 15 - 20km away from most of the fire activity.

Bbbgggrrrrr? ;)

I'll be interested to see what's on the TV when I get into the Vlounge.

Only sport on TV in the Vlounge. On the plane, the seatback screen shows the fire situation. You can see my comms bus.

Application for lease on apartment has been accepted.

Move in a couple of weeks. No aircon or stove but will have a portable hot plate.

Saving money on current apartment so additional trip to Thailand booked for next year. ;)

No aircon , hope it gets a breeze.

Left the building???
Do you remember the time when there was a major blackout in Adelaide and someone left that on the electricity trust answering machine? It was in the middle of one of Adelaide's awful summer heatwaves.

As long as you take your passport you should be ok to get back.

I just remembered (had a flashback?) when I entered BNE's terminal.

The last time I was here in October 2012, I ended up leaving with a case of Pink Eye. It was theday before my BNE - AKL trip in July last year where I was questioned by the AFP. Who knew that people without luggage like taking photos of planes at an airport?

There's probably room for a real life show about suburban trains, erk - maybe you should pitch the idea to one of the networks. ;)

Why not a reality show about trains. There has already been a reality show about buses called "On the Buses" with Reg Varney.
My bus trips were never so exciting.
