Pretty chilly in London town. Was raining earlier which has cleared but still is fairly chilly.

I was so lucky with the weather on my recent trip. I only needed to use my umbrella once and rarely went out with a jacket. It was too warm.

Yep. Lucky. The weather has turned and the last week has been rain basically. When it isn't raining it is still pretty chilly. I'm not into jacket wearing yet but it isn't too far away. Most locals are in their light coats.

I wish I'd packed for it; the one hoodie I bought with me hasn't been warm enough. Hopefully it's warmer in Paris.

A quick primark trip will solve that dilemma cheaply.
What I can't understand is that it is 13° with wind chill about 10° but feels like it is closer to 5°

Summer has started.

Fans are all on and windows open.

Have not put air con on yet.

Hope I can stretch that out for another few weeks otherwise it will be long expensive summer.

Come to Perth; winter is here for a bit longer, today was 17C and rain, not too bad at all.

.... and some people are only happy when they are unhappy :!:

It may seem that way from the outside but that is not entirely true.

Some people can simply ignore things going on around them. Others are affected in different ways.

Woohoo!

I'd still be wearing shorts and shirts...

Yep I have a mate who lives at Fremantle and he was saying it was stay inside all day weather.

We had some of that while I was over. I was the only person in town wearing shorts, thongs and a shirt..... I guess I've acclimatised to the UK weather ;)

'Acclimatised' is the wrong word... I think it's more like, 'predisposed' ;) :p

It feels a lot colder than the same temperature at home (where I'd easily wear the same hoodie). I'm hoping just to tough it out for two days. I didn't pack anything warmer as I didn't want to lug it around for three weeks... Layers are the key I think.

Yeah. I am used to London winters. And to me it feels colder than the advertised temperature (incl. Wind chill). (Cue flashback making a comment).

I am running around today in a light thermal shirt and a T-shirt on top (with jeans). Locals look at me like I'm nuts. I shiver back to acknowledge their concern ;)

Didn't your mum tell you to pack a woolly vest? Mine did for every o/s trip - even into my 30's, and regardless of destination as well. I think it's just one of the lines they come programmed with! On the other hand.....a light thermal always gets sneaked in 'just in case' - and has often been very useful indeed.

Don't get me started on SIN MRT.

Some of the people there have got to be the rudest people i have come across in the world. People waiting to get on the train either side of the marked lines to allow people to get off the train via the centre. These low life scum who hang back and are not in line then rush when boarding starts pushing past all the people that have been patiently waiting.

And don't give me the excuse it is because of the barriers they have had to climb all their lives.

Maybe they cannot read signs!

Maybe they cannot read signs!

As usual, it's not much a case of that they cannot read, but more a case of they do not want to read.

In Singapore, if you were to tell someone that they should read the signs, most will tell you not to be a busybody, and the rest will ignore you.

In the world, nothing can be forced upon people to do something unless backed by one of either threat to personal freedom (i.e. law), family or life.

I've just started a thread elsewhere in the Playground called "What Makes Me Happy."

I wonder what response I'll get based on the running happiness/lack of happiness feeling I get here on this thread.
