The Gold Coast trams are starting their testing & commissioning phase.

This gem from a newsletter warning about the overhead wiring:

"Activities including kicking footballs, flying kites or remote controlled aircraft."

"Transporting high loads such as moving home contents or furniture around the light rail corridor."

Woohoo!

Just to show how much they hate a lowly bronze, the email came in pure text, not even HTML! :)

Well Flashback you do reside in England so getting to be a Bronze Aussie is pretty good with QF.
We sent the niece and SIL to London to work on their suffinks.

Next weekend is my 'pretend I care about Qantas' status retention weekend. 4 squiggles plus a decent haul of SC. After that I've (pretty much) guaranteed WP for next year. I am still torn as to what I should do status wise after that point...

To lighten the day here's something I've shamelessly pinched from Gate A13 at FT
How Much Are You Hated By The Daily Mail? - by UsVsTh3m

For those in NSW replace with the Daily Telegraph and other states whatever your local Murdoch tabloid is.

I'm proud to say I'm hated
Who the hell is Michael Gove - I had to Google him to be able to answer the question. With just a "Yes/No" response allowed, it doesn't help (abstain might be better :D). Anyway, irrespective of that answer, I'm hated :D

Second time around, I answered his question differently and got a couple of diffrent questions (one on wind farms). That put me as merely loathed :o.

Third time around, answered the Gove question as in my first try and got "hated" again.

I was having a look around my intranet last night & I was quite amused to see an old memo for office worker type staff warning them about how it takes a few days to adjust to the end of Daylight Saving. It especially warned them about driving home because the light would be different.

This is why we can't have nice things....

Well, you are LTG so I guess you could veritably let it slip away whilst you make a firm decision.

QF status is a bit hard to maintain (and use to the fullest) when you're based in Old Blighty. Maybe consider switching to AA, or even BA?

Gee... you've been "renewed" as a Bronze. Do you think you'll be able to requalify for next year? ;) :p

Does anyone need a ride (by car) from Canberra to Melbourne tomorrow?

The only scary part (possibly) is that I'm driving :!:
