Does anyone need a ride (by car) from Canberra to Melbourne tomorrow?

The only scary part (possibly) is that I'm driving :!:
Hello Straitman. I thought you might have been heading to SYD this weekend. We have had huge numbers of helo movements as part of the Fleet Review. Many flying over my suburb exiting the reviewing area. Much more this afternoon and tonight.
I imagine you would know many of the personnel involved. Best wishes for your road trip. John.

How much to reduce the excess and do we have to tip you. :p
No excess and coffee and food for tips is adequate :!:

Is there a plane strike tomorrow? Or are the CBR lounges closed? :p
No but my car is here and I will need it when I get back to Melbourne.

For those that live in East Gippsland, driving may be quicker for the ACT.
Correct. Sale to Canberra is 525 km and about 6 hrs and the quickest way so I drove. Canberra to Melbourne is 648 Km and about 7 hrs. Canberra to Sale to Melbourne is 770 km and about 9.5 hrs

Not via Melbourne though, given the end of school holidays in some states, fares wont be cheap either
I need to be in Melbourne tomorrow night so I can 'fly' to Cairns on Monday and I thought leaving my car in Canberra was not a good idea as I'll need it to drive home on Thursday.

Very tempting but we have a family dinner in Canberra tonight though we have been watching it on TV. My daughter and her mob are in Sydney and playing tourist prior to going to see (cringe) One Direction tomorrow afternoon. (They won 8 tickets to the concert)

I still don't see anyone volunteering to go for the ride :!:

If I was anywhere nearby I would, although I think you'd become sick of me annoying you about military aviation by the end of it!

Cheeky!

Clubs not missing again but wherever they went they have been rejuvenated. Good golf for me with 30 pars and 1 birdie in 54 holes.

Just had a fleeting sense of déjà vu.. ;)
Thanks for the update & hope all is well.

Thanks. Everything is fine and the break should do me the world of good.

P.S I am now 4/4 for upgrade to suite in Holiday Inn Chiang Mai. ;) Executive lounge access would have been nice but cant have everything.

OMG ... it's just after 10pm and 6am is 7 hours away .. sleep time in Vic!

Good night Serfty

Every time I go overseas it rains on the last day and I'm always sick for the flight home...

This is another interesting hypothesis and should be validated as it is still a personal experience

Why is it that when I watch a DVD I have to sit through several minutes of ads telling me it is wrong to steal? I've purchased the damned thing and am effectively punished?

It's a real nuisance and annoys the cough out of me.
