Just did the annual New Year champagne order with starthere and Dans.
I must say using so many of the partially used Woolies gift card balances must have given them a real laugh but I am happy to be back to only 4 Wish cards.
If starthere offer a bigger discount in the next 72 hours I am ready.
10.5%off works for me.

Just paid $42 for 1 year family cover for out of hours home GP visits......seems like a bargain.

Service is pretty good. The fellow turned up in around 2 hours...on a Sunday.....on a long weekend:shock:

Just watched the Grand Final, maybe I just didn't care because I didn't like any of the teams in the Grand Final, the end result Sydney Roosters 26 beat Manly 18.

Maybe I just hate Manly a little more, so the right team won.

Great GF with some super tries. Yay!! The Roosters from Bondi, good to see you come back so well in the game to win.
I wonder what Jimmy Packer thinks, seeing he has moved support from the Roosters to Rabbitohs in 2014. Maybe he will keep a foot in both camps.

Since Norths were forced from the competition the only team I have followed was anyone playing Manly. So great to have my team win.;)

We had several hours in the Sydney T2 last Saturday, and I tried several times to try one of the pancakes,( message reading "change the bag"x3, and something like "call the operator "! ) finally got one - had it with lemon and sugar and it was very nice :p
I'm planning to do pancakes for breakfast in the MEL VA lounge tomorrow morning.

I got a nice note from Auburn Council today. It said: “Parking Fine, $101.”

My lucky day! They are giving me money for parking excellently.

But alas, the shoe's on the other hand.

Can't say I've done badly, though. 8 1/2 years of parking in the area before Ranger Stacey's first ticket for me!

Hate parking inspectors love parking in France

Statistically Melbourne and Sydney both on average have the same amount of rain days with Sydney having double the amount of rainfall. So cars in Sydney must be really clean!

When it rains here, it really rains. But it can be dry for days/weeks at a time.

I got done a beauty when I was in Wales in 2011. They tried to say that I was parked in a disabled parking spot - it was 90 degree parking. In that situation in Australia, each spot is usually marked by lines & if it is a disabled parking spot, it would have the wheelchair symbol painted on the ground for every spot. But in Cardiff, it's acceptable to mark the spaces with barely a line at the start of the zone & barely a line at the end of the zone & nay a sign to be seen.

I had a look at the area later & there was enough parking for around 11 spaces in the area I was done.

Had an unsuccessful sookylala to the parking lady. I offered to move (because, you know, some person who might need the space might want to park there) but she said that she's given me the fine now so if I wanted to, I could park there all day now.

I didn't pay it directly. I didn't hear any more about it. I assume the hirecar company got the fine later & billed by credit card.

I was with Tommy Raudonikus on this one: "I hate them both - I just want to see them bash the carp out of each other!"
A great game to watch though - thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the company at Bluesky (bar in Shanghailu, NKG)

The early 2000s (Northern Eagles days) must have been an unhappy time for you then, drron? They certainly were for most Bears supporters I think, rubbing salt into the wound of a foundation club being forced out of the competition despite staying loyal to the ARL during the super league debacle. It suddenly became a big money game and the Bears didn't have any...
I lived not far from North Sydney Oval in the early '80s and loved Sunday afternoons down there.

Anyone want to come unpack my suitcase for me? New suitcase, looks like its gone a few rounds in the ring...
