I know the question was not that simple but had nothing to do with being positive and negative.

Why are some people luckier than others? Surely being positive does not influence the numbers that come out in Keno. Or does it? Have some people worked out the secret to life? Because if life was that simple I would start being positive all the time and win all the time. Not that simple?

Here's an example.

Two guys walk into a bar. One is pretty glum overall, the other is smiling and happy inside.
If women had to choose which guy to talk to, and everything else was equal who would they talk to?

And gambling shouldn't come into it. Unless cheating, the odds for each game are (generally) the same regardless of the number of games played. Someone's perception of how lucky or unlucky someone is can be easily skewed by factors that you cannot see. (Eg. Bias in reporting - Only blagging about the wins, not the losses, betting large amounts per game/multiple bets on a game - so increasing their odds overall). A perfect example is if I bet on both Black and Red on Roulette, then I will just about always win. Am I successful or lucky? No.

But Gary Player could play golf. ;)

Reminds me of an early Simpsons episode...

"You are 2 feet from the hole. You have selected a 1 Wood. May I suggest you use a putter?"

*swings*

"You have landed in .... car park."

"You have landed in .... car park."

"Would you like to play again?"

*beep*

"You have selected, 'No'"

:D

Agreed although that is not a good example as women are not usually known for their ability to choose the right partner.

Some people appear to be blessed. These are not games of skill. Simply games of chance.

Anyone know how to keep the (lower, gravelly) voice that I have now but get rid of the other stuff (head congestion, runny nose, sneezing, aching joints)? LOL

Yes erkpod fly to Perth and those symptoms from smoke inhalation will quietly pass.

Does this correlate to me being 'lucky'/'unlucky' if I get shot by a madman on a rampage?

Humans can't correctly interpret results in life.

A rather sweeping statement John...after all, my wife chose me ;)

Nothing like being in Asia with the body clock on BNE time , decent coffee on offer, no chance!

Does anybody remember the Blimp that used to fly around Sydney? Although it was garaged at Schfields it usually flew out of Bankstown. Last night Mrs B & I were at a dinner where one of the other invited guests is an ex Ansett pilot and also used to fly that blimp! Brought back some fond memories.

There used to be one that floated over Melbourne too - it seemed to know when I was sun baking in the back yard.
I vaguely remember a Swan and later a Whitmans logo.
Last time I saw it was over the Oz open.

I am trying to interpret the results in life.

I dont do random or coincidence. I believe major events in our lives are preordained. And just like those who believe all events are random or a coincidence I do not have any proof either. Just personal experiences that happen too frequently to be ignored and written off as coincidences.

I'm not big on seafood, but we have some great local meat as well.

I have to say, I've very, very rarely seen someone pull of a nice roast turkey, especially a huge one.

You haven't seen Mr Katie's roast turkey! :P
