That sounds about right. QF and NZ over the ditch is very overpriced especially in J, EK is very reasonable - as you can see, often their J product will price better than an expensive whY!

Has given me something to think about for sure! I'm VA WP but I think we could spend the extra hundred flying EK J for sure.

When it comes to mistakes I am in the Spike Milligan camp-I have learnt from all of my mistakes and could confidently repeat every one of them.

Shamelessly stolen from Twitter - but it wasn't raining at the time, I swear!!

Deep down we know it's a mistake before we even start, although we try to say otherwise - that's known as denial..... ;)
That is not quite true.

So you know with every investment when to pull out or when to carry on?

It is quite funny. Google does know everything.

"on keyboard type in e and p appears" and lo and behold there are entries for Thinkpad Edge 15 problem.

It is driving me nuts....

then you try a different tack.

if you have the money to lose you invest with something offering greater returns. If it loses you have lost nothing and you move on.

if you don't have money to lose, invest in something safe (like a cash rate interest).

in both those scenarios you win.

An interesting one happens with various ads. Last night, I booked my accommodation for the Canberra train trip. Since then, the ads (including on the front forum page of this site) include ads for the locations I have booked, suggesting to me that I should book these places on a certain date - the date that I have booked my accommodation for already. So if I've booked a night at Hotel A on Friday night, why would I book at Hotel A for Friday night again?

That is not going to fix my keyboard issue Flashback! That is my main concern at the moment as typing is all over the place.

What I laugh about with adverts is that I often get ads for my employer when browsing the web. Is a shame they are paying for me to see something I already know ;)
