Unrelated to my previous post, I just saw sheep grazing in a paddock which adjoins the rail corridor. Not something you expect to see in metro Sydney.

It only started happening very recently. It is a 2 year old and hard disk has been replaced already only just lasting 1yr and a few days.

Hasn't happened yet today....
Once it starts it does not stop.

We are not alone in the universe?? The Klingons!
Or a weather balloon with a Chinese lantern attached??

Remnants of Loi krathong? Although I think it's only called Loi krathong in Chiang Mai, maybe Yi Ping elsewhere?

Seems like enough space there to keep you happy.

No literature in the literature pockets?

Mag rack up the back.

The hidey-hole only had the QF mag and the wine list (300 wines from which you get a choice of 2 red / 2 white). Oh, and the safety card.

No companion in 11B so could spread out.

Oh, and the crew on my SAA domestic connection asked for a minute's silence in their first in flight announcement.

EVERY single passenger put down their paper/book/drink etc and observed.

It's amazing seeing the impact on the people here. Mostly followed by "if only our current politicians were that good".

On that note, the pollies here are in the news for being a bit liberal with personal expenses. Sounds strangely familiar.....

Which is what he deserved. He really is one of the most important (if not the most important) figurehead in South Africa's history.

Last night we were trying to think of other world leaders who made so much change to the world. I think his deprivation in gaol and his ability to let all that go makes his story unique but the closest we came to was Auung San Suu Kyi.

Sadly South Africa the land mass, still has a very long and difficult journey ahead.

I have heard the reference to Loi Krathong in most areas I have visited in Thailand. I thought I have been there at that time but I must have been mistaken.

That will be fixed next year as I plan to arrive the day before Loi Krathong. Perhaps Chiang Mai. Perhaps Pattaya.

My Xmas present to myself (Canon Powershot G16) arrived late yesterday afternoon. No time to unbox it prior to my shift this afternoon.

It will be getting a workout this time next week on the train to Canberra!
