Let me assure you that warm in Perth was at the third cricket test match at the WACA.
English warm is just a little bit different.

We certainly managed a rather uncomfortable stretch just for the match, didn't we? ;)

(mind you, I read an interview where our bowlers like it like that - they dont cool down between overs that way, apparently)

Owner requirement:
Hi my name is Pushka, I was surrendered to Lort Smith because of a street cat bully who would corner me outside my home.

Being the domesticated feline that I am I was too delicate to stand up to him.

My owners noticed a change in my demeanor at home and tried to calm my nerves.

This tom cat had taken over the neighborhood there was no place for me there. I'm so happy to be out of that situation.

Now I have been placed in the cattery to await a new family that will comfort and nurture me. I need a home to play, smooch and lay in the sun.

The lack of a Christmas bonus (and my pay cut this year) is killing me. Credit Card bills are about 4 times my monthly income from my day job... :o oops

Damn Christmas and having to buy some many bloody presents :( :(

bahh... humbug

I talked the family into no presents this year; promised to bring champagne to lunch instead.

Oops. Time to find a 0% or similar card, and do a rollover. Will give breathing space.

Qwibble offering 17.6% cashback from Dan Murphy's on wine, 14.4% on spirits and 9.6% on beer. A disclaimer from me, I haven't used qwibble before so can't vouch for them. I have made a wine purchase with this offer so will see how long cash back take to hit.

One of the advantages of small families and low expectations.

Yeah, I should trade my family in for a newer model :p :p

VA DSC offer! My holidays start mid July. Now thinking of bringing my holidays forward to the start of June. I need to swap my holidays super fast or apply to have my leave swapped.

Spoke to my manager who is 80% sure that it would be ok but is worried about crew shortages. Here we go again...

Hope to have an answer tomorrow.

Winter in Queensland? Delightful.

Summer here so far hasn't been rather characteristic in any way.

Expecting blasting hot and humid weather. We got a few days of that, but the remaining days feel like a Spring day - relatively hot during the day, sometimes breezy, and cool during the night and not sticky.

Torrential rain is the other "characteristic summer weather" we've experienced a few times in the last decade, but we haven't got that either. Last few days there's been a fleeting drop and that's it. Possibly a little different in you live inland (e.g. Ipswich etc.) or on the coasts - apparently they've copped the worst of any hail etc.

I actually quite like this weather. Probably know it won't continue this way; just don't know when the hot & humid days are actually going to arrive.

Heading to Sydney for the weekend. Hoping for some favourable weather.
