Shut up JohnK. Adelaide minimum last night was 32. 43 yesterday. 43 today. I'm older than you and can't remember a worse summer than what Adelaide has had this year. Feel like a limp dish rag. No aircond in bedroom = no sleep. :(

Adelaide is breaking records that where set back in 1909 for heat.

Yup. Another heat wave was in the thirties too. I think we've broken those records now and moved to the 100 year ones. Last night was disgusting. Hot strong winds all night. How we've escaped a bushfire, has been a miracle. But when it happens, and it will happen as the hills are tinder dry, then it will be a bad one.

Retreated to the beach house this weekend. Aircon and lovely water to swim in...

My car aircon has just stopped working...

Oh heck, today of all days. :(

I'm actually looking forward to tonight because I purchased a portable air conditioner last weekend and have installed it in my bedroom. I'll be sleeping very well thank you.

Oh and my cat loves it as well, she actually sleeps in front of it.

Apparently cats cope with heat better than dogs. I'm not sure our cats agree. They both look like grease spots on the floor.

C'est la vie.

Lovely day for golf. It must have been hot but the breeze kept things cool. Not a bad game either for a change.

It is so weird to be thinking about packing for a dom work trip. It's about my third ever work dom trip (plus a couple of day trips).

Does commuting count as a domestic work trip? This is the the 6th yeat but technically it has covered 7 years.

Way too long to be away from the comfort of the nest....

That's yuck :(
We have had a really beautiful week here in the Hunter, sunny highs of 29 on the coast where we are and minimums of 20 at night so able to sleep.
Hope you get some relief soon Pushka!

Exactly the same on the Sunny Coast. And all the tourists have gone.Perfection!

Apparently the reason why our summer has been so bad is the reason why Qld and northern NSW has been so cool. All to do with tropical convergence, clear skies over Central Australia etc.
