Find a job in SYD - easy to say, hard to do.

I almost like Sydney on days like today, and in my area of employment thats where most of the jobs are, I have a feeling I will be doing the reverse commute again soon.

But we have moved further than that now.I recommended Dr.Topol's book on here over a year ago.
The real move now is in genomics.Being able to predict who will respond or who will have side effects with drugs. This is already happening.
Then there are different technologies-eg Google is working on contact lenses that will monitor your glucose levels.
Another US tech company is already doing 3D printing with human cells.Already a market that you probably wouldn't think about-cosmetic companies can now do theirtesting on human cells so animal testing may be phased out.
We do live in interesting times.Unfortunately it is going to take some time for all this to become universally available.

Crazy public transport situation in SA lately. Bus drivers went on strike yesterday by not collecting fares and encouraging passengers not to validate their ticket. So our wonderful transport department had multiple Ticket Inspectors on buses bullying people who hadn't paid their fare (to who? The drivers wouldn't take it) or who hadn't validated their ticket (with drivers telling them not to).

The Minister involved has now been gagged by the Premier. She said there would be no fines issued but people had already been issued infringement notices.

Just get your act together everyone and stop making the public the ones to effect a Union decision.

Everyone on my bus validated anyway! :)

She embarrasses our department regularly and should be sacked, or promoted to Minister for Lamingtons.

There are a few glimpses of the Cove in the Skyline movie if you want to have a look on you tube movie clips. The aliens did not destroy the BBQ area after all.

Where in DXB or LHR could I print QF BP's if I wanted to?

I am expecting an upward status change part way through my trip.
