The totally off-topic thread

Made meringue the other day. Now I have eight egg yolks.

Any ideas on what to make with them? Apart from custard...... lemon/lime meringue pie?

(Short crust pastry... *shudder*)

I must be dumb or going stupid, just spent about an hour looking around the paypal account for information on amending subscriptions.

My Money/ History/ subscriptions but no such links exists.

I am having enough trouble at work coping with a new computer accounting system to deal with, well its actually about 10 years old just there are no books for it, dealing with 20 different printers to choose from, 8 different invoice lay outs with 40,000 products to choose from, and then the defaults that they suggest to use are at the bottom of the page.

On the way back to Perth on Sunday I watched the movie Captain Phillips; if you thought you were having a bad day go and watch it, currently on Qantas Inflight IFE on the A330s and probably A380s.

I went looking for the paypal subscriptions a while ago and only found it by accident, so I suggest looking where you least expect it.

Ice cream. Homemade ice cream uses egg yolks.

i have the opposite problem, I made ice cream and have a freezer full of egg whites...

I do plan on a pav at some point, when I get some time :D

As an aside, clocked up 42 hours of work over three days last week. Ended up feeling like I had a really base case of jet lag....

Ice cream is essentially custard which is then churned at cold temperature. Sister has an ice cream machine, so may consider it... (after borrowing the machine)

Mayo from scratch is also a good option, but that mayo has to be used almost straight away - it won't keep for long (obviously, because unlike shop-bought mayo there are no preservatives). 8 egg yolks would make a hell of a lot of mayo...

Certainly is. Tastes amazing too. I made mango last time. Thinking maybe raspberry next.
