Yeah, you have to look very carefully at what's included in your phone contract. Everything not listed is excluded.

It was ANZ credit card balance transfer number 1800445175. I didn't even think about it when I made the 2 calls. I should have called the general number and asked to be transferred.

Curious NBN fact: when your street is cabled for NBN, that automatically sets the clock ticking for withdrawal of Telstra copper services. That was news to me.

NBN providers have been hawking our suburb for six weeks now (we got cales late last year); I got mail this week from Telstra advising my copper is to be disconnected as of June 2015.

Now while I do want NBN eventually, I also have a back-to-base alarm that calls home each night - so whether I like it or not, I now need to sort out with the alarm company how that will integrate. No dount there is a soloution. At a cost.

Dare I ask: What is smarch? The Simpson picture doesn't mean anything to me (like the show, TBH)

Edit: And I have 5 1/2 hours to go until the 1st March.

That particular episode was talking about things not working at the school including faulty heaters, fire extinguishers not working & calendars with typos that weren't corrected (hence Smarch).

I was out in the forests today watching the rally of Canberra in Bluetts, probably the last time this area will be available for rallying given the development going on in that area.

Had dinner with one of the world's most recognisable rally drivers in Ari Vatanen last Thursday night, well me and about 200 other people that is.:)

For anyone that hasn't seen the film of Pikes Peak (Cloud Dance), take a moment to watch, if you like motorsport you will not be disappointed. But then again if you really like motorsport you will have already seen it.:D

Ah, RoC. Brings back good memories of watching cars go over Mineshaft but not so good memories as heat exhaustion as a rookie nav & potentially being stuck in the forest for hours as the car DNFed due to a blown clutch.

Usually a GSM solution. Hopefully signal isn't too bad...

I would advise against watching how your luggage is handled coming off a 737.

Which is why you use the mobile.....

Mobiles didn't exist when I signed up for hotmail :p

Anyway, if you change from a secondary email to a phone number, they lock you out for 30 days as a security precaution.

Hotmail was founded July 4 1996, plenty of mobiles at that time!

Well they certainly weren't readily available to my fifteen year old self.

Don't worry. I'm with you (or perhaps worry about that). Mobiles were not available as a personal accessory in 1996, even if they existed. Hell my first mobile phone call was in 1994 using a phone in a handbag. That was a solidly business only phone, fully paid for by a business with deep pockets.

Not to mention I don't recall hotmail asking for a mobile number back in 1996.

Does anyone who isn't locked out of Hotmail still actually use it?
Yes and why?

The original Hotmail user interface was great until they started tinkering with it and took away a lot of good features. It is much better than Gmail. The current Outlook interface is not that user friendly.

I use Hotmail for things I don't really care about such as Facebook and twitter notifications.Really wouldn't be concerned if I was locked out.

Funny you say that drron!

I have a Gmail address for things I do not care about such as dating sites and those websites that want you to sign up to access. ;)
