Dare I ask: What is smarch? The Simpson picture doesn't mean anything to me (like the show, TBH)

Edit: And I have 5 1/2 hours to go until the 1st March.

Perth has a long weekend for some reason. I know this because double demerits on driving penalties started on Friday.
We are lucky in the west to be allowed radar detectors on our vehicles so we don't drive around with one point left on our drivers licence.
The rest of Australia gets a Monday off the following week it seems so I had better get to the east to double dip.
Now for those who haven't figured it solar installations to generate free electricity now can have a payback between 2 and 3 years without Government rebates following price drops in the components.
We signed for 2 30 kilowatt systems for $72,000 at our local warehouses because we work "sunlight hours" mostly.
Our 15 kilowatt system in our Perth home has been a winner as well with the cost at $18,000 and no Government subsidy.

Adelaide has a long weekend next weekend. For the silly Adelaide Cup. But that's eventually moving back to May (it always used to be rained out in May so it was moved to March). But no one goes anyway on the new date as it can't compete with the Fringe, car race and Festival. But the ph is staying in March anyway. Go figure.

I'm with you on Solar. We've just ticked over our first 12 months - generated 10,500KW, exporting 8,610KW @ $0.52 each.

Microsoft and hotmail have now asked to provide a mobile phone number to verify the email address, has this happened to anyone else recently.

Last day of summer but it will feel like summer for a few weeks more in Perth.

Security feature, every so often they ask you to enter a validation number that they text or send to an alternate email address.

Unfortunately for those that no longer have access to their secondary email address (and hence the code), there is a compulsory 30 day lock-out.

I'm reading Neil Chenoweth's book about rupe's companies meddling in pay television piracy. It's called, Murdoch's Pirates, and is brilliant stuff, reads like a cold war spy book.

It's not really suprising given the other nefarious actions his companies were up too at the time, in particular telephone hacking scandal.

I'd really like to see brooksy and her sidekick end up in gaol, doubt it will happen though.

From memory it happened to all my accounts back in September/October.

Well done to Volvo and GRM for their second in race 2 in Adelaide, great finish.

First time I've ever cheered for a V8 race. Didn't he hold his nerve when Whincup was bumping against him and drew past him. Nerves of steel.

Absolutely, very good drive first up, one to watch.

Interesting to hear the crowd response to Whincup announced as 3rd place getter. IMHO he leaned on McLaughlin far more than was necessary on the penultimate corner only to blow it on the last for McLaughlin to drive by.

I'm old enough to remember Dick Johnson refer unflatteringly to Robbie Francevic as driving a Swedish Valiant, and at that time driving a Volvo was (as a friend said) like driving a Massey Ferguson tractor, but I'm very impressed by this new Valiant and its valiant driver. Will only be good for the sport - now if only MB and Nissan can get their act together???.

I was out in the forests today watching the rally of Canberra in Bluetts, probably the last time this area will be available for rallying given the development going on in that area.

Had dinner with one of the world's most recognisable rally drivers in Ari Vatanen last Thursday night, well me and about 200 other people that is.:)

For anyone that hasn't seen the film of Pikes Peak (Cloud Dance), take a moment to watch, if you like motorsport you will not be disappointed. But then again if you really like motorsport you will have already seen it.:D

Stung again with 1-800 numbers not included in monthly Virgin mobile call credit.
