Does anyone here watch If You Are The One? It is a Chinese dating game show on SBS2, thankfully with subtitles.

The premise is that one guy presents himself to 24 women. Each woman has a light & if she doesn't like the guy, she turns her light off. There's a series of Q & A rounds & videos where you can learn more about the guy.

From what I figure, the women stay on the show over a number of episodws until they get selected for a date. This can mean that sometimes, a guy will come onto the show for one specific girl.

I haven't laughed so hard at a show for some time.

This looks like it could be worth a laugh.

And of course the new Sunshine Coast hospital really is replacing Nambour General which although it will continue being a hospital most services are going to the new hospital.
But then the new hospital is only a kilometre from home. Not going to be bad for property values!

They've been talking of this hospital since I was working in Nambour back in 2008. I guess it'll be built eventually!

The new hospital might be good for property values drron - but it wont be good for street parking availability.

My understanding (at the time - possibly changed significantly since) is that Nambour hospital will become more of a rehab hospital and less acute as all acute services will move to the new facility.

Street parking is already a problem.Between the new hospital site and our home is the Youi call centre.Bedlam.

They built a 7 level car parking building first !!!!! It is next to the new open private hospital.

The car parking problem is caused by the Youi insurance people. They "took over" an empty building that was built too early for the "hospital area" as a medical centre, now 100s of cars line the Nicklin Way and Lake Kawana Way. Lots of locals complaining about that !!

Years and years it's been talked about.....well on its way now.

Staff will be able to go for a surf at lunch;)

Lend Lease - Sunshine Coast Public University Hospital

JAN/FEB 2014- Update

Main Hospital taking shape
The first suspended concrete slab has now been poured on the main hospital building at ground level. Underground tunnels that feed all of the main services to the hospital including electrical, air-conditioning, plumbing will be completed by the end of January.
Concrete has now been poured into the Cancer Care Linear Accelerator bunkers situated in the East building. The bunkers will be used to accommodate radiation therapy, which is 18,000 times more powerful than an x-ray. The concrete requires nearly 12 months to be treated due to the width requirements.

I'm trying to upgrade a domestic sector. Wondering why QF wont give me an upgrade when there's U3 available. 12 J seats and (at least) 9 available. Flight is a Saturday afternoon in a few weeks time.

Availability J/9 C/9 D/8 I/6 U/3

There is a known issue with online requests being refused for no reason, you need to ring.

Searching for a job in a flat economy is a pain.

In such a situation, would you consider taking a job at a company which you harbour strong moral doubts?

It would be hard but it depends on how much you need an income.

For example I cannot see me ever working for a tobacco company.

But if it's legal and if I really needed a job then who knows?

I would just to get out of the Centrelink system, bit sick of going for interviews where you walk in and get told dont worry, your records dont need updating.

The UK has a similar show called Take Me Out, hosted by Paddy McGuinness. Probably not as "funny" as the Chinese one due to differing cultures, plus the addition of the UK trash TV edge.

I might check out that one as well.

I think one of the reasons it works for me is because of the different cultures.

The jobs for my expertise have totally dried up.

I can easily apply morals to things I purchase such as airfares or goods. If I needed the money to survive then morals may need to take a back seat.

Do council workers still get a day off if it rains consecutively for a minute and a half through the night?

Yes, think of the experience.

Should I just start a thread and see if anyone will join me for dinner.

True and it should be noted that Caloundra Hospital will be (partially) closing... I have been told that all staff from Caloundra will automatically have positions at the SCUH, those at Nambour will have to apply for positions. I have just looked over the plans for the ED - it is segmented into three main areas (fast-track, resus, acute) each with their own waiting rooms, plus there will be other areas such as paeds, mental health, sexual assault etc.

Interesting as that would make it a replacement.....
