I have seen way too many dills, and stopping during a merge is at the start of a very long list.

Happens far too often. As does the running of a stop sign near my work, I've already had to replace one tyre due to an idiot in a BMW failing to give way.

At least they try to merge. Unlike the absolute dills who drive up the on ramp and then stop.

I was being generous with the term "try"

And yes, I saw someone do exactly that directly in front of me just the other week (she was driving a Mazda). Thankfully traffic was light and I was able to merge easily and continue on my way.

Merging can be a tricky thing for beginners. It took me a while to realise that people do actually allow you to merge most of the time (cf. speeding up and going alongside you or attempting to outrun you) as long as you've given sufficient indication and don't do it too near a control structure.

And of course the new Sunshine Coast hospital really is replacing Nambour General which although it will continue being a hospital most services are going to the new hospital.
But then the new hospital is only a kilometre from home. Not going to be bad for property values!
Also good for you and mrs.dr.ron is you have any more accidents (hoping however that these events don't happen). You could be a VMO :o

Pretty sure I will be really retired by the time the hospital is up and running.Besides I upset too many administrators!.

And speaking of idiots on the road on my way to Woollies yesterday a young fellow(looked about 12) came out of a street on my left and without looking went straight across the Nicklin Way.Only the fact that he did it on an angle prevented me from taking him out.But I learnt the Hyundai has good brakes.

Brett Cowan found guilty of the murder of Daniel Morcombe!!

The story that couldn't be told to the jurors: No Cookies | The Courier-Mail

Bet they feel relieved that they have done the right thing. Also, the Morcombes can finally feel that they have done the right thing by their sons' memory.

I also think he's going to get quite a welcome in prison from the majority of inmates (and I'm not talking in a good way). You finally are getting what you deserve - this is for all the acts you have done.

May you rot in hell (or jail in your case firstly).

This is something I never came across driving in the UK. I remember being taught to merge onto a dual carriageway by my Driving Instructor. It's expected over there. Unfortunately there are still some idiots who will blast the horn at drivers attempting to merge travelling at the appropriate speed and speed up to prevent them. Both learners and drivers need better education on this.

One of my favorites are the people who try and merge onto the freeway at 60kph when the traffic is doing at least 90.

The whole attitude of society has changed.

Slightly related and I don't have a new car but there are hundreds of scratches and dints on my 15 year old car. I can safely say than not one was caused by me. And most would have happened in car parks by careless pigs.

That same attitude is out on the roads.

Looks like there was not a lot I could do as the parental tech support guy if it's a hardware issue...

Another view of the Gold Coast car that took the higher road
