And this person somehow has a license to drive?
Amazing isn't it...perhaps they have some issues (one might say) - and not just with where they parked the car

There are lots of people in the same boat.

A licence is not a right. It is a privilege. The sooner we apply that to licence applications and renewals the better.
Completely agree JohnK. At renewal time, more of them will be recommended to catch taxis, buses or trains. Where they belong :o

Merging can be a tricky thing for beginners. It took me a while to realise that people do actually allow you to merge most of the time (cf. speeding up and going alongside you or attempting to outrun you) as long as you've given sufficient indication and don't do it too near a control structure.

Not so in Perth. Perth drivers are pigs. London on the other hand, I find drivers surprisingly courteous.

Apparently the good lady was late for a hair appointment.
Just how are they going to move it - can't use crane because of the power lines (unless they aren't live).

I believe it was a case of crane and shutdown of power.

Brett Cowan found guilty of the murder of Daniel Morcombe!!

The story that couldn't be told to the jurors: No Cookies | The Courier-Mail

Bet they feel relieved that they have done the right thing. Also, the Morcombes can finally feel that they have done the right thing by their sons' memory.

I also think he's going to get quite a welcome in prison from the majority of inmates (and I'm not talking in a good way). You finally are getting what you deserve - this is for all the acts you have done.

May you rot in hell (or jail in your case firstly).

The family has been through absolute hell, as has the bus driver who didn't stop for him because he was following instructions.

Kudos to the police for never giving up. QLD police aren't known for their professionalism. This case and its result should improve their image.

There are some truly evil people out there.

Ah yes, driving in Perth.

The biggest problem is trying to overtake when there is a huge lumbering truck (or similar vehicle) in the far right lane! Seriously? (There's no right turn or right hand exit coming up soon, you know!)

There's quite a vocal person commenting on one of those articles talking about that lady who drove onto the GC tram tracks, basically telling everyone that she's old and she made a mistake and everyone else slamming her stop being holier than thou and so on. Methinks he's just trolling but there you go...

Of course there is going to be an investigation as to whether the tram tracks were sufficiently signed so as a competent driver should not make this mistake, but surely attempting to drive on raised tracks like that is enough to convince you that you've gone the wrong way?

I would like to think that as a new system (that hasn't even been officially opened yet) that the signage was sufficient. Having said that, it's reasons like this that there is a commissioning period.

The overhead wires would be live but as was mentioned earlier, can be shut down. I hope that the tow truck drivers of the GC are ready for the extra work at intersections that will surely happen as a result of the new line.

BA have recently started offering some reasonably priced day-trip prices. I could always do a day trip .. ;)

Adelaide drivers like to speed up and be general A-holes. But there are also drivers in Adelaide who think turning on the indicator means the car in the other lane has to give way. They expect you to brake and just let them in at short notice. Often trying to change lanes while directly adjacent to a car, not even attempting to match up to a gap. I've even had one of these drivers who I slowed down a bit to let in, so they slowed down and I slowed down etc. until we got to about 20 kph.

Then there is the people who stop on a left turn, that has a long slip lane, because they want to turn right about 1.5 km down the road.

A change in road rules several years ago means that if the indicating vehicle is in front of yours by any amount you have to let them in. This has liability implications if you don't get out the way fast enough and a collision ensues.

My favourite one is the moron who pushes in from the middle lane, then hits the skids to drop into the servo 5 metres up the road and you any everyone else minding your own business has to do an emergency braking manoeuvre.

Did you know 'listen' and 'silent' use the same letters?

Do you also know that the words 'race car' spelled backwards still
spells 'race car'?

And that 'eat' is the only word that if you take the first letter and
move it to the last, it spells its past tense 'ate'?

Sounds complicated, as one could argue the vehicle infront drove without due care and attention to other road users and caused a collision.
