Don't you mean Sunday?

I have another trip in May.

I want to play Sunshine on Sunday and looking for a course somewhere in the Eastern Suburbs to play on Saturday. Drouin? Eastwood? There are a lot of private courses with full members comps on Saturdays. :(

I understand Peter Lonard is a member of Concord and rates it highly

Information | Concord Golf Club

That's interesting, did not know that. I believe he was pro at Oatlands before getting his PGA card, had the pleasure to meet him and have a hit with him at Riverside Oaks many years ago, you couldn't get a more Aussie nice bloke.

Not sure what the delays look like but the weather is ugly.

Uncle Reloads advice; stay in bed.

I should have added that it was some years ago and he may not now be a member but he did admire the course. You are right about him being a good bloke. Mrs Major was a volunteer driver at Coolum some years ago and Lonard wanted to stop along the way for a snack. He asked if he could buy her something as well and apparently very polite and thoughtful

"The Secret Life of Adrian Mole" author Sue Townsend has died, she was only 68. Very sad news.:(

After reading this though, I'm surprised she lived that long!

Quote from ABC News

"Townsend, who was born in the central England city of Leicester in 1946, contracted TB peritonitis at 23, had a heart attack in her 30s, suffered from Charcot's joint-degenerative arthritis - confining her to a wheelchair - and lost her sight after being diagnosed with diabetes in the 1980s.

She underwent a kidney transplant in 2009, with her eldest son Sean donating one of his organs, and suffered a stroke over Christmas 2012."

I knew that she'd lost her sight but had no idea about the rest of it. I read the first couple of books growing up & read a later book many years later. I haven't read the last book.

This is a good overview of the whole series.

I booked a hire car from OOL for Sunday night.

It took <300 metres lugging golf clubs, carry bag and laptop bag from apartment to train station to realise it was a great idea and it would have been almost impossible to lug that stuff around on bus, bus, train and another train. ;)

Best wishes for all in FNQ. Will be a wild night/morning for all.....stay safe!

To think just 2 weeks ago we sailed past on the QM2 and the seas looked like this:ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1397201710.515841.jpg

It sounds as though there will be damage to property but hopefully everyone has evacuated to safety by now.

looking at a bumpy flight on Sunday.Arrive into TSV hopefully at 1855.At 1700 Ita is forecast to be just off the coast at TSV but fortunately only a tropical low.

Lovely hey.... just dandy I bet...

I can't imagine what the backlog is they stopped the escalator going down 30 mins ago.

BNE I'm not feeling the love :(

BNE international security screening has for as long as I can remember been up there as an example of worlds worst practice. They even like to keep all the lines even, so the priority channel is no priority at all.
