Keating had the audacity to touch the Queen of Australia!!
And which bothered me not in the least. I thought it very touching and caring actually.

Sitting in SPN lounge delayed 45mm so far with no eta for my flight to ICN. 75min connection to HKG is looking a little tight.
Never been in this situation before. I assume OZ will somehow get to HKG tonight in J? There is one flight after the one I'm meant to be connecting to.
I assume OZ will protect you, even if that means hotel for the night and first flight next day. They should be good for it, especially as you're misconnecting on their home ground.
Your hotel in HKG, if applicable, is another issue. You'll likely have to get in contact if you're not going to make it tonight; travel insurance might also need to get involved.
Thanks for that.
If I can get out of SPN tonight I'll be happy. Got travel insurance so hopefully that covers the accommodation costs. Would much rather overnight at ICN than SPN!
Happy birthday to your grandma!
What was the certificate for and how did you organise it?
I' m supposed to organise something for my mum but they require a sheaf of paperwork I don't have.
I think I'm looking at Markis10 at the BNE loop rd, I'm too scared to approach the guy and ask him though!
Yeah, I've asked our IT external consultants to do this, numerous times. And they come back with all the usual security blah blah nonsense but it would save a lot of issues. I'll try again.![]()
Hmmmm... I was thinking you all did this in-house. Right.
I can see where the IT guys might be hesitant to do this. They can't exactly make you absolve them of any problems due to security risks if it so happens that a security update which was delayed in installation brings down your server.
Alternatively, I'm sure there's also a way to delay installation of updates (or automatic installation of updates) until a certain time, e.g. 1am in the morning. Of course, if you run a 24/7 business where the server is expected to be up at almost all times of the day, that could still be a cause of issues.
Sounds like you need a new IT Consultant ... it's not best practise at all to leave updates going automatically, they should be vetted first before being applied ... I take it also they're not ITIL aligned then and using change management![]()
