Why the shock?

I didn't know he had one!

All I know about him and tech is his trusty laptop. (Now he is going to nail me for that comment ;) )

Is that JohnSydney2000 with a tablet?

Yes, he even took a photo of me using said tablet.

It was good to see some of the more "senior" oz fest attendees embracing technology.

You know you're in a QP in Perth when .... you see bogans in there wearing Holden shirts drinking beer at 4.30 am ....

From AB of S web site:

I suspect these figures totally skewed by the freeloading parasite kiwis coming with nothing then returning home within weeks with their armfuls of welfare booty courtesy of Australian Govt!

Apart from discolouration, I'm sticking a fork in the unicorn bite & am calling it done.

The scabbing has gone.

I have shown the initial post-lancing photos to some people & over the weekend, 2 different people have told me it is the result of a white tail spider bite.

As far as I know, I'm not a doctor nor have I played one on TV, nor have the two guys I spoke to. Our local resident medicos might come up with the same opinion, who knows.

But if this was the case, how come no one who is a doctor (there were several who saw me) pick it up? Would the treatment or the potential outcome been different if them or I actually knew what it was?

No one picked it up because it's highly unlikely that a White Tail Spider caused your symptoms

And I know the genius who knows the genius who wrote the paper. :)

That's why I'll leave the medicoing to the resident AFF medical professionals.

You will have to make a co payment for that advice soon

I wonder why there was such a Fantales shortage in Perth ... had to try 7 different supermarkets before I found one that had 'em!

These things happen in The Remotest City On Earth. A few weeks back it was Milo; The whiteants had stripped the supermarket shelves of it where I shop... back now. Probably 3% higher price, too.
