I am in a mega SH!TTY mood due to the fact that I saw the orthopaedic surgeon today and I am in the damn moon boot for another 6 weeks.
Commiserations!

In related news, I had some tests the other day - seriously routine, just because i was at the doctor's and we thought it had been a while. Phone call this afternoon, "Doctor would like you to come in to discuss the results". Probably nothing, but still...

On a Friday afternoon..... all weekend to think about it. :( They could have called Monday with an afternoon appointment, but then you would ask... why the rush. Hope its just a contribution to your Doctors retirement fund.

We've had a similar call. Mentioned to the receptionist that we were a bit concerned, when arranging an appointment, while there with one of the kids or for a blood test. They said that if there was a problem the message would have been "Doctor wants to discuss the results , this afternoon at xx_ time", instead of "sometime in the next few weeks, whenever you can arrange it".

Absolutely booked out Saturday, so Sunday morning appointment it is.

Someone on Facebook has put up a picture of a rusty tank that looks very much like a Sentinel, Australia's only home designed tank. Taken somewhere in rural Australia. (sorry it's not my picture to post over here) But it makes me really want to try to track it down. I'm guessing it's in Victoria somewhere because they also found a centurion armoured recovery vehicle at the same place.

Sentinel info here if anyone gives a damn. Australian sentinel and even wikipedia Sentinel tank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia Manufactured by the NSW Railway Company.

Can you provide a link?

Oh, and I thought you were referring to a water tank.

What's the bet, it's a vaguely elevated cholesterol in an otherwise healthy
young lady with no cardiovascular risk factors,or family history, and the baby doctor wants to put you on a statin, 'just in case'

You say the nicest things!

But I expect you are right, and the doc would just like a chat.

Queensland seems to be a popular place to send rare tanks, Mephisto is at the rail museum at present I believe.

Mephisto was at the Queensland museum for as long as I remember. First during a primary school excursion in the late 1970s (iirc) and later when I went to uni. It had moved from Bowen Hills to south bank in that time. I thought that was because a Queensland battalion captured it.

And checked my facts for 1 QFF point.

1919 it was taken to the Queensland Museum - dragged back to enemy lines by the 26th Battalion. Hard to believe it had a crew of 18.

Fingers crossed for you Jess that there is no unwelcome news.
