Don't like the whine of the drill, or were your (teeth) nerves making you jump JohnK?? I love the dentist (but not the doctor)

Drill doesn't bother me as adrenalin causes other issues. Also suffer from claustrophobia and anxiety.

She wanted to put some sort of cast/mold in my mouth for ~1 hour. Not going to happen. Then she put cotton in there to keep teeth and lips apart. Impossible. My mouth can't be locked open for that length of time. I took 3/4 Xanax beforehand totally relaxed but my mind was on edge the whole time.

Subconscious?

She said if I wanted a home whitening kit but that was roughly the same. She needs to be a cast to put in mouth and keep there for length of time.

I will try yo do it under general anaesthetic if I ever need another procedure done.

Such a troublemaker... :p

Have you ever tried to have a script for the proper Sudafed dispensed? Now that is being treated like a criminal. Used to be able to buy the stuff on the shelves of Woolies et al. Never used to have smash/grab raids back then. And this fakey sudafed they offer now has been proven to be no more effective than a placebo.

You just ask the chemist for some and hand over your drivers licence.

I remember when you could buy ephedrine OTC - 30, 60 & 90mg IIRC

And get an interrogation to boot! At least that's what happens here in SA. And we even have a script!
I find if I stick to my local chemist, they know me and offer me the proper stuff without me asking.

I think Adelaide Pharmacies are more suspicious. We did have a "local" but after their last performance, for a chronic sinusitis that the Dr said required a two month usage of sudafed, they refused to dispense the third script. Never used them again.

That's annoying when you have a legitimate use and a script to boot.

That's actually illegal. If you have a valid script from a registered medical practitioner with a Medicare provider number, the decision is out of their hands. They need to read the state prescriptions laws. (Well it is in QLD.)

Report them them to the pharmac_ Board.

No script required here...

In South Australia pseudoephedrine is not available over the counter. Script only, i guess, plus much interrogation.

Another advantage of working in Sydney, being able to get the good cold and fly tablets that actually work without wasting Medicare money on a gp visit.

We would have thought so too. It's none of their business. But pharmacists seem to think they've been elevated in the ranks for some reason.

And it pays to check out the prices. One near us always tries to charge the generic at the same rate as the brand. We've found an excellent pharmac_ near work and I'd say we have halved our bill by using them. And they are nice people to boot.

Whatever happened to continuing the cricket coverage on the sister channel, so that the news starts on time on the main channel?
