Currently grounded for long trips. I was going to do a quick trip on the 5 days off I just had but I caught up with some people I haven't seen for months.

I've got about 140 SC & 2 sectors to get to maintain VA WP with my review date in May. I was going so well until I got back from my June OS trip.

There are such systems ... try buying more than 4 packets of aspirin or paracetamol ...

Or more than 2 here. Note you won't get any pack that has more than 16 so a max of 32.

We would have thought so too. It's none of their business. But pharmacists seem to think they've been elevated in the ranks for some reason.

And it pays to check out the prices. One near us always tries to charge the generic at the same rate as the brand. We've found an excellent pharmac_ near work and I'd say we have halved our bill by using them. And they are nice people to boot.

That's one thing I do like about the NHS. Set prescription price. I prepay for a year which gives me unlimited fills. It works well for me.

Amazing the difference in prices between pharmacies. I usually pay $8.95 for my prescription at the local Priceline. The other day, I was passing another pharmac_ and dropped my script off. They handed me a generic at $16.95. I queried it and requested the brand as prescribed but they couldn't supply it, so I handed it back and went back to Priceline. I thought generics were supposed to be cheaper?

What? You actually pay something for NHS drugs? Most people, and the pharmacists encourage this too oddly, find a way to fit into the exemption categories. Or, they just move into Scotland, where NHS meds are free.

It's a real rort (free meds, not prepaying) , and although they try to police it, and there is a fine if you are caught claiming free meds, it is pretty rare for people to be caught.

They are cheaper. But pharmacies try getting away with charging more and I suspect get away with it sometimes. Or play on the "urgency" factor so you will pay up.

Priceline are excellent.

Laziness is... not ironing your shirts because you know it will be covered with a pullover and a jacket, and neither is likely to be (or at least it is unlikely that both will be) taken off all day long.

There is a physics law about that, conservation of energy? ;)

Stupid people I deal with.

Was driving to a family function and received a text. Ignored it since it is both illegal and dangerous to touch the phone whilst driving. I do have a hands free thingy so that I can answer the phone if it rings.

Upon arrival I read the text. "Are you on your way? Where are you?" Now I arrived at the time I said I would (having worked the night previously).

When I asked why they texted instead of ringing the response was, 'oh I thought you would pull over and read it". What the heck?

I'd label that - practical.

Pantoprazole is $6-$7 at most pharmacies. Some want charge $16-$17 for another generic.

Panadeine Extra costs $14.99-$15.99 at some of the bigger pharmacies and $23.99 at some of the smaller pharmacies. Thats ridiculous markup.
