I still can't see how the number plate was a deliberate action/gaffe. Especially, since if clarkson could think of such a thing, the producers should have realised what was going on and put a stop to it.

Probably lucky he didn't know the Queensland version for picking someone that ends with "it bit, dog do"

Welcome to life :)

Just in DOH atm, flew QR in whY for the first time - not bad I must say. Light loads certainly helped. I am impressed that they serve Krug in the J lounge (until the F lounge opens anyway...). I'll make sure Mal's glass keeps topped up.

excellent news. Enjoyed our new moderators company in Briz last year ...totally enjoyable evening. congrats samh004!!!

I parked my US Toyota Camry in a spot reserved for compact vehicles. When I returned the gap the door would open would not have allowed Twiggy (the slimmest model from yesteryear) to get into that car. So I had to go sleeper seat on the passenger side and drivers side and then slide across. All the time I was wondering if I was being filmed on candid camera.

Another Queenslander on the AFF moderation team. Go us! :)

Seriously, congratulations samh004 - a bestowal most deserved.

Finished the remains (half bottle) of my red wine tonight by myself. This week has been one of the more challenging ones in living memory.

My uncle went under the knife (well robot actually) this afternoon - removal of his bladder after diagnosis of cancer at the neck of the organ. Not sure yet whether it's metastatic after he had prostrate cancer 5 years ago (4 primary, 3 secondary). 4.5 hour procedure and he is in critical care for at least 2 days. Never knew there was such a large mortality risk for the operation.

We're due to leave for Vanuatu on 26 March, but Port Vila looks like it is going to take a direct hit from Category 5 cyclone Pam. I feel for everyone there and hope no lives are lost, but it is probable there will be. Chances are there will be no tourism = income for weeks or months. Anyone who is interested in cyclones might be like this facebook page that I have found to be an excellent source of information https://www.facebook.com/iCyclone

QF WP, I hope your uncle's recovery is swift and complete. It seems you are not able to avoid the dreaded 'C' word.

There does seem to be a genetic predisposition - 3 in the family so far. Has made my father a bit nervous (as they are twins and have had the same cancer thus far)
